Just read and agreed with a philly.com article that we have some must win games coming up with a crazy hard course afterwards leading to the Olympic break. I think they will do well but this will be the make or break time.

The way the Metro and the East in general are playing right now one thing is obvious: they can't allow for an extended losing streak... so get the **** done and back on track!

****ing good. I would actually like to see the Read-Couts-Downie line back together.

The only thing I can think of is... who is going to be Giroux's winger then? Still Raffl?

That line was great and it would make a lot of sense to get them back together now. And then yea you have to move raffl off the first and vinny up. Otherwise vinny just looks lost. Raffl will get his playing time with injuries and to change things up later.

Was hoping to see Gus in but don't see him taking anyone's spot at this time.

Gus should be in. Especially since it has shown over the past 2 games that our defense is slow as balls with the transition game right now. Gus would help with that.

Yea and we all would put him in over mez but it would seem unlikely that berube would.

Vinny g voracek
Hartnell schenn Simmonds
Read couts downie
Raffl vv Rosehill

That would seem to work pretty well. We would at least have great 2 and 3 lines and one would think the first could rely on talent alone. I think vinny would be very motivated playing with G

I don't see how Berube can look at this crap defense and not send players back to the pressbox. Gus should be in. Mesz is garbage, I don't care about his 3 assists or not. And it shows that when Grossman has a bad game, it seems the D as a whole craps itself

I believe he was a full participant in the last morning skate. So very likely he is healthy again.

I wouldn't be surprised at all at a loss, the way the D has played.

Even if the D play badly... a good day for Buffalo offensively is 3 goals!

They have only scored 4 or more 4 times this year, 3x they scored 4 and once 5.

I am more scared of Miller standing on his head and them winning 3-2 or 2-1... that has been a pretty regular occurrence in their wins this year.

I'd like to see that. Vinny and Giroux had some pretty good chemistry early on.

On a side note, I really like Vandevelde. He's been playing very well on the 4th line and the PK.

VandeVelde blows. He just looks less awful than his useless running mates in Rinaldo and Rosehill. The only NHL level player we have on our fourth line is Hall, and even he's a guy that wouldn't be on a lot of teams' rosters.

Don't Vinny & Jake both play the right wing? Could Jake move to the left as it sounds like Vinny can't?

VandeVelde blows. He just looks less awful than his useless running mates in Rinaldo and Rosehill. The only NHL level player we have on our fourth line is Hall, and even he's a guy that wouldn't be on a lot of teams' rosters.
I agree with this. It isn't that VV is really any good, it's just that he's better than the crap we've been throwing out on our fourth line.

Grass is greener?

There are a lot of NHL 4th liners you would say the same thing about if they played for the Flyers.

You're willing to tell me that any of Rinaldo, VV, or Rosehill would be getting fourth line minutes on the majority of teams around the league? Hell, Rosehill got dumped from a team that runs Colton Orr and Frazier McLaren on their fourth line routinely.

Hall is an alright player, but he wouldn't be playing every game for a lot of the upper echelon teams either.

Haha, I know man. Just watching our D get pinned in and slaughtered constantly the past 2 games has been really discouraging. That's all.
