Hmm, this is a little different than the form that said to drop off by 11.29 I wonder if this can still be sent in then. I wish they had a fax number, don't really feel like mailing it from Korea lol....

Tried to call the team store, of course no one answered. I'll have to try earlier in the day.

I was disappointed they were regular plain-Jane tickets. Nothing fancy about them.

As was I but knowing ticketmaster I wasn't expecting thing better.. Winter classic tickets looked pretty cool perhaps season ticket holders got better ones but I doubt it.

Anybody else see the islanders are offering a stadium series "experience pack" where you get two tickets to skate on the ice at Yankee stadium, a signed stadium series game and two tickets to 5 random islanders game (no tickets to stadium game). I emailed them and I'm sure it's gonna be a lot money to do it.

I'm wondering if anyone here knows if they're going to do any open skates or allow you to buy tickets to skate on the ice? I know at other winter classic events they usually do that but who knows about it here. I did a quick google search and didn't come up with anything.

I was just thinking about this while watching the Winter Classic today. Since it is snowing and a very different atmosphere than a regular game, the teams are a bit passive and playing a different style game.

It is interesting that the Islanders have the biggest disadvantage in this aspect as we have to play a team that has already played an outdoor game at that stadium just a few days prior. I wonder if it is significant enough and is a contributing factor in the game.

After the half way mark of this game, you can see the teams starting to open up a bit. I wonder if it will take the Islanders a period or two to adjust whereas the Rangers will already be adjusted.

Just a thought and a discussion topic leading up to the game.

It was done to relieve the NHL from having to do a NY/NJ winter classic in NY.

Predict 2016 WC is BOS vs NYR at MetLife. NHL is going to evaluate how the nfl pulls off the Super Bowl with the distance between NJ and NYC.

Just checked CL -- and not to my surprise, found a bunch of people selling tickets..seat location is irrelevant --

I just have a feeling you are going to be able to get seats the night of the game for under $100.

If the weather is bad? under $75.

Just wanted to admit I was 100% wrong earlier in this thread saying that this game would easily sell out. Whoops.

It's just like any other Isles game... Face value is like $75 more than secondary market.

I think the real issue will be those buying extra with 100% intent on trying to resell and profit. They will either eat them or dumb them in the market - so, those fans that waited may very well benefit.

I'll be working in NYC that day.. so if the weather is good. I might take a $2.50 subway up to the stadium, and get through the turnstiles for $20... and then leave at the beginning of the 3rd period...

Just because I can...

I still have 4 of my seats in section 236, row 21 for sale.

They were ~129/seat but willing to sell below that! Pm me.

They played a game of shinny at Bryant Park today in the snow. Isles' reps were Eric Cairns, Pat Flatley and Glenn Healy (annoyingly all also former Rags), while EJ Hradek also donned the new Isles' jersey.

Boomer Esiason was there too in a Rangers jersey. They really should have given him a #17 Isles.

Send a message via ICQ to beach
Not sure if this question has been asked, but as the game will be broadcast by NBCSN, does anyone know if it will be shown on Center Ice?

I noticed the Islanders and Rangers jerseys are Reebox Premeire jerseys but the Devils jerseys are CCM. Are those not the Devils SS jerseys?

Are any of you guys that paid face value as infuriated as I am right now? Granted my team tickets are onviously for the Sunday game but to have my $189 tickets going in the $60-$70 price range right now is making my blood boil. Good thing were all Sth's and got to purchase them before every at face value right? What a joke.

We guessed wrong. Assumed demand and prices would increase. I'm only mad at myself for making that assumption.
