Flyers' fans named most intimidating

Must be because of FlyersFan97.

Anyone else surprised at Hitch's ranking for top coach?

QUESTION 6: WHICH TEAM HAS THE MOST INTIMIDATING FANS?

Flyers• TOP VOTE-GETTER: Philadelphia Flyers (24%).
• Flyers page | Schedule | Player stats
• Everyone thinks their city has the best fans, but NHL players on average find Philly to be the most intimidating. From the "Broad Street Bullies" to the "Legion of Doom," Flyers fans are knowledgeable, passionate and, um, vocal. Remember, Philly fans even booed Santa Claus.
• OTHER MENTIONS: Montreal Canadiens (22%); Calgary Flames (19%); Edmonton Oilers (10%); San Jose Sharks (9%); Toronto Maple Leafs (6%); Minnesota Wild (3%); Detroit Red Wings (3%); Vancouver Canucks (2%); New York Rangers (2%); Columbus Blue Jackets (1%).

I'm kind of surprised Sami didn't get even an honorable mention for faster skater, even though he's a bit older he's still freakin fast.

In my opinion most of the philadelphia most intimidating rankings or most passionate fans are based off of legacy, I personally think ever since the new arenas have been built the fans have plan out sucked.

you remember Chris Falcone? we're pretty intimidating to an opponent... it's also been stated that it's the third loudest arena in hockey when we get going (behind Calgary and SJ).

as far as the Hitch comment... are you really surprised? yeah, we fired one of the best, if not the best, coaches in hockey because our players weren't tough enough to take it... GREAT decision.

Can't blame me for this one, I've only been to one game at Wachovia, but I do try to cause as much havoc as possible in the Northern Jersey area. Personally, I like the rep. Even if our team $ucks, I'm glad to know our fans will always make Philly an intimidating place to play.

Hitch won coach most likely to win a cage match, Lindy Ruff won best coach. He was a good coach, who wouldn't have tolerated this **** half the team pulls. I hate to say at but at least with Hitchcock they were getting outplayed and not outworked.

It's because the good fans can't afford tickets. Except the Eagles. people would seel their kids for tickets.

That's not what i see, which is not one iota's difference between then and now.

There is something basic missing from this team.

which, of course, suggests that coaching wasn't the problem... i was obviously against firing Hitchcock, but c'est la vie.
