Hartley has put Kapanen with Hossa and Kozlov again, moving Slater back to 4th line, btw.

He just needs to pick somebody and frickin' stick with it. Switching it around all the time isn't helping.

ANd I hate these Islanders announcers... they're total homers. It's unbelievable.

It is tough hearing Jaffe now being such an Islanders homer... sad...sad....

Thatta boy Ilya!

Classic move into the zone, quick release, I believe between the defenders legs.... that seals the game folks!

Just thinking Hossa was out for a lengthy period was enough to bring on a brief period of deep depression.

Huge win.

Thats enough to throw anyone off to the deep end. THat and the nail-biter game that just played out. Came out with all horses go... see-saw til the end.

Oh and, NJ just downed Tampa.....

anyone see that 4th goal of theirs in a replay? it was under review (and stood up) and i noticed kari was pissssed off after they scored, indicating (from where i was sitting, which was in the upper level behind the OTHER goal...so not so close LOL) he thought the guy was in the crease (I think)....what did the replay show?

awesome win, nonetheless....and Sim was the post-game show guest....he was hilarious talking about turco being mic'd for the allstar game and how he didnt' think it would be a good idea to mic him, unless there was a delay (that was suggested by Odgers, actually)

Yeah, pretty much a goal, no kicking motion or anything. Campoli was just standing at the edge of hte crease (actually maybe a bit inside now that i think of it) and the puck just hit his skate, he didn't even really expect it - a bit lucky redirection if you ask me!

if he was "a bit inside" the crease, is that legal? evidently so, or toronto didn't think he was

in any case, kari obviously didn't agree with the call

and someone tell me WHY please, WHY couldn't Dunham play like that when he was wearing a Thrashers sweater?!! He is the one that shut us down and allowed for the comeback, imho. he made some sweeeeeeeeeeet saves.

15 yrs....hahaha....

fun game, good crowd. You could not imagine my dispair when Hossa went down. I was panicking. Ranting about the playoffs going out the window. He just means too much to this team. This also screams how crappy our depth is.

Nice to see the Thrashers are giving up big leads still. I'm grateful for the 2 points, but this team is nowhere near playoff ready

After the Isles went down 3, they came back pretty strong. Their squad this year still maybe lacking that something, but they're definitely now a team that can come back - Ted Nolan is a huge reason for that...

Of course, Atlanta didn't help at all. The D was all over the place, bad clearing attempts in front of Kari - Kari letting some bouncey rebounds...... in general some sub-stellar play.

Pretty certain that rule doesn't exist anymore - (ie Brett Hull and skate in the crease). It can be disallowed if the player is "interfering" with the goaltender in the crease. That is probably what Kari was complaining about, or at least trying to lobby for.
