Where did you hear that and what reason do you have to accuse someone of being less than honest? Would you turn away money from workers comp when you were injured on the job? I don't think so.
Would you sign a big money contract knowing you might not be 100 percent healthy but were guaranteed the paycheck regardless? And your employer was OK with it?

This, but is there any way we can Pronger him? (Philly knows Pronger isn't coming back, but by putting him on LTIR he still gets paid while effectively being retired) That way it frees up cap space and not having Jovo's contract count on the books would allow our new, apparently free spending ownership to sign more free agents.

That's a great idea if his return from injury fails. It sounds like he really wants to give it another go soon and I think he should be given a chance at least.
