PAP - Mackinnon - Talbot please. Kind of scary defensively though.

That's great! What radio show does Roy do post game? I thought he only did the pressers.

It was just the pre-game show, about 10 minutes before puck drop. He does a separate interview for that. I only heard it because I was late due to heavy traffic.

Looks like both Tanguay and PAP participated in full contact practice today, according to the video Dater posted. So, there is that.

Hard to believe Tanguay has only played 12 games for the Avs this season. By the time he is back he will have only played ~25% of the games. He is going to basically be a deadline acquisition. Pretty impressive what the team has achieved without him, and how much better they can be with him.

I couldn't see them individually, but Dater did say they were there, and nobody was wearing a pumpkin jersey, so I would assume so.

I was trying to think of what the lines should be like when all of Tangs, PAP, and Staz get back and the hardest guy to find a spot for was Mitchell.

I realized that he actually sucks the offense out of a line even more so than Talbot. At least Talbot knows his role and will forecheck and let the other guys do the work. Mitchell never scores anymore, never passes, turns the puck over when he does decide to pass, and just acts like he's the go to guy on any line that he plays on.

Is it too much to ask to just throw him back on the 4th line? And can they please just try Tanguay with MacKinnon?

O'Reilly - Dutchy - PAP
Landy - Staz - McGinn
Tangs - MacKinnon - Talbot
McLeod - Mitchell - Malone

PAP is probably the toughest one to find a spot for. He didn't really show any offensive chemistry with Mack or Duchene, and you don't want him on the shutdown line with Stastny/Landy.

I am hoping the rest has done PAP some good in the motivation department or that he has been working on conditioning like crazy. Before his injury, he just seemed lazy and unfocused. He has the ability to be a great two-way player but he seems to lack the effort for the defensive side. He didn't even look great on the offensive side for some time either. He needs to be a pest defensively and more focused offensively. I would love to see what PAP looks like in insanely great physical shape.

True, but I think you just got to throw him back with Duchene. They had great chemistry all of last year, and Duchene could use a spark to get back in the goal column.

PAP only had chemistry with Nate for a few games and then seemed to lose it. Plus I just really want to see Tanguay on Mack's wing. I just think he would be perfect for him. Even though he plays a similar playmaking game to PAP, I just think he has that extra bit of patience and vision like Drouin has.

Thats true, and I think pairing McGinn with Mack would be a good idea too. They played well together at the beginning of the year.

One thing I wonder, though, is would it be better to possibly leave Mack on the wing with Stastny and Landy? I can't help wonder if taking the defensive pressure off him is the best course.

I want Tanguay with Mackinnon. If not I want Tanguay with Duchene and Mcginn. I think 3 of those guys compliment each other so well but I hate to break up Dutchy and ROR.

a little more info. Dater claims Stastny will be back tomorrow. PAP's target date is Tuesday against Toronto.

MacK doesn't work with Stastny and Landy for some reason but I like him with either separately. I'd love to see Tangs with MacK, it's probably best to ease Tangs back and while the shutdown line was nice it was a pass-fest with Landy occasionally shooting. Put Talbot there and it can continue to be a shutdown line. McGinn has worked well on the Duchene line. I'd keep that intact for now.

O'Reilly-Duchene-McGinn
Landy-Stastny-Talbot
Tanguay-MacKinnon-PAP

My guess is that Tanguay goes right back with Landeskog and Stastny.

That would not surprise me at all. MacK gets Talbot and PA, that would be fine.
