I just don't understand why csn keeps bumping the Flyers games to tcn in favor of the sixers. My feelings for basketball aside, that team is trash.

Thank you for those sentiments. This is where I prefer to post Pacino's famous line from Godfather III: "Just when I thought I was out, they bring me back in!"

The GDTs wouldn't excel if our fan base was unappreciative of the history of the franchise and if nothing else impassioned about the current and future team.

Thanks.

There was an optional skate yesterday because of the many upcoming games and few breaks in the schedule. The starter will be named after the morning skate.

The first Twitter report is from Dave Isaac who says that Steve Mason is tonight's starter.

You deflect the credit like LeClair getting his stick on a Desjardins point shot.

Here here, for another amazing GDT by MSE, your name will carry on in legend, brother. But seriously, one of the reasons is stayed on HFboards is because, as a Flyers fan, I was lucky enough to have MSE bringing out bangin'g GDTs, great info, and just adding amazing overall depth to every facet of the matchup. Also very appropriate tunes for the game.

Sidebar, I have checked other GDTs and was surprised because they quality was not of MSE's standards and really, thanks.

Wow, what can I say. Thank you, those words are meaningful. Thanks again everyone. Save it for the birthday thread, we will need some fun in the middle of the summer.

As a former Flyer told an on-ice official upon his return to Philly and amid excessive applause by our fans "Drop the puck."

Question about Grabner, is he basically a Matt Read clone? I haven't seen too much of him but from what I have seen that's the case.

close to Read. He can also play on both wings just like Read, he's so freaking fast but he needs to be more consistent .

A home Flyers game is bumped to TCN because of the Sixers? That really sucks.

Don't ask me why, but I have a feeling tonights game is a blood bath. Not on the Pens-NYI level of 200-whatever, but it will be up there. THis is a big game for the young Isles.

Good luck, guys. This might be the best PHI-NYI game of the last 10 years.

I don't find Grabner to be a good comparison for Read. Grabner is a good penalty killer, but doesn't have the same defensive acumen that Read has.

Grabner is also insanely fast and, if he can ever think at the speed he skates, can easily score 30+ goals a year consistently (edit: Grabner is older than I though; don't know that he'd be a 30+ scorer into his 30's). I'd be happy with 20+ consistently from Read.

I hope the Isles decision to dress a bunch of goons doesn't make Chief dress Rosehill instead of a complete hard-working third line. Guess it wil tho.

VV also had that failed clear on the PK, so I'm sure there will be accountability*.
