It's been a damn good day so far, hopefully the Canucks lose as well! We have a chance to really start moving our way up the standings over the next few games, hopefully we go on a decent winning streak.

Sigh .. if we had a good team we wouldn't have to watch the OT scoreboard so closely.

BTW, I hate that some games are worth more than others.

I agree on that. I think all regulation wins should be worth 3 pts, then in the case of an OT win/loss it should be split 2 for the winner, 1 for the loser.

The loser point will vault Minnesota into the playoffs.

I hate the loser point.

I agree

Rather then the 3pt idea, which would make it so some teams got insane pt levels in a year, and throw out all previous ideas for pt totals in history.

I would rather see the single pt for a loss thrown out if they need to make an improvement.

2 pt regulation win. 1 pt overtime win / SO win.

Otherwise you get 0 pts. Any other system makes the pt totals look crazy

They got us into the play-offs last year ahead of Vancouver.

Well that has already happened, with the one point for losing teams get way more points. I really doesn't matter. If suddenly you got 4 points for a win and 2 for a loss, would anything really change?? no, you just have to do some simple math thats all. I agree 100%, the best system is 3 points for a reg win, 2 points for a OT win, 1 point for a OT loss and 0 points for a reg loss. THen teams that win in reg get more, which is fair.

THat being said I am still very tempted by 2 for a win 0 for a loss. no ties, no 1 point. THen you ahve two categories, wins and losses, pretty smiple, just like baseball.

They do this every game and every game Luongo holds them in.

if they were to do this, they would simply have to extend the OT to at least 10 minutes of 4 on 4.... or 5 mins 4 on 4 and then 5 mins of 3 on 3

to be honest, i think they should be doing that already.... shootouts, while exciting to many people, are no way to decide *any* hockey game

yup, Luongo does it again. When it was 1-0, he made some unbelievable saves. I think he had 39 saves and maybe like 31 in the first 2 periods.
1st star luongo
2nd star luongo
3rd star luongo

Nah, it would have been better had the Flames lost in regulation.

Not every game, but in alot of games. He's just doing what he's being paid to do to, to be our best player (as he's our highest paid player).
