Given the fact this is the Canes, we'll lead going into final lap, grab a blue shell, then use it accidentally.

Been awhile since I've played Mario Kart, so I'm not sure if that analogy still works

A GDT I can follow/understand. Nice work.

Will be interesting to see if Muller continues to ride Anton considering Peters played so well last time these two teams met. Gotta be frustrating for Peters to play out of his mind and then get the bench for his efforts. Not to say Anton doesn't deserve his starts, just would hate to see him overworked after being out so long with a tough injury. But if Anton wants to be this team's starter he'll have to get used to it I suppose.

I don't think you can shoot yourself with it. Perhaps a more apt analogy would be having a lightning bolt used against us mid jump, causing us to fall and have to redo the last lap

Not bad for a first GDT.

Also, J.F.W.P. anti-caps

Well, Justin Faulk is probably my favorite player...and Yoshi is by far my favorite Mario Kart character.

This GDT is stamped with my seal of approval.

...now do more.

I don't know why, but all of these comparisons feel so perfect to me. Also, major props for using the SNES version.

Well, he did score four goals yesterday.

So logically, I'd expect him to have a bad day today and only score five.

Im down to the wire in fantasy this week, debating picking up peters. If anyone knows who the confirmed starter is at any point today, please post in his thread ...it would help me out.

Ever pull off the short cut (cheat) in the n64 version?

Let's hope St. Louis is out of goals after yesterday. Not expecting a win here, though. Even when Tampa has garbage goalies we manage to make them look good, so God help us if Bishop gets the start.

Wow this has the potential to be a classic goalie matchup. There should be about 3 million rebound chances in this game on both sides.

I hope I am wrong but I have a bad feeling that Peters gets torched by Tampa that he either gets pulled or forces us to use Dobby even more (the BTB's leading up to the break).

Why goalies should almost never start back-to-back games

That's league wide. I'd put money that the SV% is similar (if not better) when it comes to Carolina goalies. Granted, that's probably because in the past, the options were Ward, who played the night before and every game prior, or Peters/Leighton/Grahame/etc., who hadn't played in months.

I'm sure Carolina isn't the only team that runs their goaltenders that way.

over the past two seasons, there has been 11 times where muller has started a goalie in both sides of a back-to-back. the results in the second game:

3 goals on 24 shots, 4 goals on 34 shots, 5 goals on 38 shots, 3 goals on 31 shots, 1 goal on 36 shots, 4 goals on 12 shots (pulled), 3 goals on 43 shots, 2 goals on 12 shots (pulled), 4 goals on 32 shots, 2 goals on 28 shots, 0 goals on 15 shots (injured)

combined sv% of terrible (don't feel like calculating it)

And the fact that I'm using Leighton and Grahame clearly shows I'm looking farther back than the past two seasons. Since it's a lazy Sunday and I've got nothing better to do, I'll go ahead and look it up.
