We should swap our NHL D with our AHL D for a few games.

Well we probably wouldn't notice too much of a difference

Let Fedun get a taste of the NHL and let's see what he's got. In the mean time hopefully klefbom continues to progress. Then when Fedun starts to falter, swap him for klefbom and give klefbom some NHL time

Since our season is lost anyway, we might as will experiment with our D in okc in order to build for next year
Agreed completely. Give them a taste, let them see what it's all about, what they need to work on. Also, after a few games in the OKC I'd get Marincin back in the fold to close out the season, get him as close to fully NHL ready for next year as possible.

Exactly, put marincin on top pairing and give him tough minutes in the AHL. Plus playing in the ahl allows him to be risky and develop more offensively.

Rotate those 3 guys between top pairing AHL and NHL.

Yeesh, looks like Eager's throwing a fit in OKC. Team down 4-0, but he's got a slashing, two unsportsmanlikes, abuse of the officials, and a game misconduct for a whopping 26 PIM's.

9-3...
looks like it got out of hand a little, and Charlotte got 5 pp goals. Lots of fighting majors, and Mac was dressed. Pitlick missed a penalty shot but still got 2 points & Kelfbom with another assist.. his offense is starting to come. Anyone see the game?

Noticed that to, got to be a high water mark for him so far. to be plus and a point in a lobsided game. hopefully he takes off the rest of the year. Would love to see him and Nurse come into camp and make a strong case to both be on the team.

Fedun with a misconduct for abuse of an official. Hope he does not get suspended long.

Judging by the boxscore, not only did Fedun get a misconduct, the goalies tried to fight, too.

Well Pickards been assigned to ECHL to back up Brossoit while Bunz gets backup duty in the A. Good for Bunz as he did have good games in OKC this season.

Back in his rightful place. OKC is a bad. Hockey team, but they are much better without him backstopping. Why they signed him I dunno, I would have preferred any of Bunz, Brossoit, and Rimmer.

I'm sure you already know this, but just so anyone reading isn't misinformed, it was a scoring sheet error, all those penalties were to different players, they just put them all down to Eager by mistake.

And according to Nelson the Hamilton - Lander - Pitlick line was going head to head with the Marlies top line all night

I actually had no idea, it does make sense though. Thanks for the heads up.

Great to see Lander developing an offensive game.

Lander and Pitlick seem to be adding more offence lately.

January
Lander 10 GP 3 G 10 A
Pitlick 11 GP 5 G 4 A

Both have been playing better than their season average.

Even though it may look slow to some I think that Lander's development is noteworthy. He just continues to slowly become better and better, without any big slumps. I am curious to see where he will be in a couple of years (edit: not geographically, I think he has a future with the Oilers, I meant as a player: top 6 (!), 3rd line or 4th line).

Max Talbot was kind of like that. Just slowly turned himself into a valuable player by working at it every day.

I know this is going to sound ridiculous to some but Imo Landers play isn't the 4th line style. I suggest just to see how it works.. Try Lander as the second line center. He is a bigger body, good defensive play and show that he has some offense and I feel like his progress to the NHL was hindered by trying to make him a 4th line style player.

Just for a few games and see what he can do with an offensive role on the team.

I don't know why they don't give Lander a shot with linemates than are better than 4th liners. Give him a game at 2C and 3C and see what you have. Putting him with Gazdic, Jones, or Joenssu won't do anything. I'm not sure why they still think his ceiling is 4th line center.
