Being honest. Have you ever not defended a Flyers draft selection? No offense intended, but I take it for granted that you love and rate quite highly all things Flyers.

I pray to God Goulbourne becomes the second coming of Ian Lapierre because of the alternatives we ignored to take him. Fight videos do literally nothing for me when it comes to Goubourne.... Much like a Daigle goal scoring video.

That pick is still TBD, anyone saying it was a bad pick is just complaining because we took what they thought was a better chance over potential. We have to wait 5 years to see if it was actually the right choice or not.

Me too. I like Goul as a 5th rounder but not a 3rd.

I concur actually. Assessing a selection cannot be done until after seeing where the player ends up. This pick will just be more scrutinized because of the leaked draft board and nature of the player selected.

It was bad because they seemingly picked him over players rated higher on their own list. Which just makes no sense

We are going to be very very hard to play against with him here. I don't really think we need a sniper on wing to be a finalist team as long as we get this fing d figured out! If we get that done in some way we are looking at a high end east team

Watching this team, I think our defensive problems stem from our forwards as much as our d-men. That will allow Laughton to make an even bigger impact overall. On the 4th line with Hall and perhaps Raffl (if we manage to find a more suitable first line winger), that'll give us two very strong two-way lines.

The problem is the Flyers top two forwards lines have questionable defensive awareness and effort. Adding Laughton to the 4th line won't change that. Now replacing someone off those two lines with Laughton would.

Laughton won't be a top 6 forward though.

I could see Top 9 initially. I don't want Laughton on the 4th line at all.

I see the Flyers breaking him in the same way they did with Couturier at the forth line center spot.

I think they keep Hall over Rinaldo. So you get something like

Hall - Laughton - VandeVeld

I'm so sick of moving centers to wing at the nhl level. It doesn't work.

It's very unlikely the Flyers will draft a winger in 2014 who will make the team as an 18 year old.

There's nothing wrong with Laughton starting out as 4C and moving up when there are injuries.

Watched the "Quest for the Cup" series and somebody please give Stolarz a dictionary. All he can say is "you know".

Also noticed that Laughton has a fight in Oshawas game against Sarnia with one period left.

Agreed and agreed. We have the looks of a more skilled bruins at fwd. Just lacking at the other positions haha

Richards started on the 4th line too. There's nothing wrong with that.

Laughton is a checking center, Flyers should be looking to draft a shooting winger. That's not a logical combo.

that's my point he wouldn't be stuck with Rinaldo or Rosehill, he can have a skilled winger, and it's not like Laughton can't play offense.
