As far as the fourth line, the road team has to submit its lineup prior to the home team. Rosehill likely played the last game because the Islanders made a couple of changes for that game. Hall won 11 of 13 faceoffs playing fourth line center in ValdeVelde's spot. But the Flyers are coming off a win. My guess is the Islanders make at least one change in the lineup coming off a loss. Question is do we see Rosehill/Hall or VandeVelde/Hall? My guess is the former.

It's going to snow? God dammit.

I'll be there with my navy buddy.

Confirmed: Nilsson in net for the Islanders.

No changes on their D.

Regin could replace Boulton.

Yeah I can just picture giroux scoring the gwg today going to costsey after the game "when you try me with a sorry defender like Matt Carkner, that's the result you gonna get!"

I never said that, I just think it was embarrassing what Sherman did last night. It was like something out of the WWF.

The guy is a great player but a total loser of a human being. He constantly trashes opposing players through the media & tells anybody who will listen that he's the best at his position. I don't see Peyton Manning or Calvin Johnson doing that every Sunday, they let their play do the talking & leave the sideshow stuff for clowns like Sherman.

God forbid the man have personality and show some emotion. Personally I loved Sherman going off at the end of the game. He talks and backs it up on the field. There was nothing wrong with what he said. But it's a matter of opinion.

he's definitely not a "loser of a human being". he's a smart dude that is a pest on the football field and plays with a chip on his shoulder.

get over it.

Being an insecure loudmouth isn't a good personality to have. I would have been more focused on the fact that my team was going to the Super Bowl than Crabtree or where people rank me at my position but hey that's just me.

Anyway that's the last I'll say of it because it's really irrelevant to this thread.

Maybe the reason Emery is starting today....

"Emery is 7-0-1 with a 1.59 GAA against the Islanders"

Those kind of stats mean very very little. Rosters change year to year.

Yeah, I'm guessing a lot of those stats were compiled when he still had hip joints.

Well even though both rosters have changed you guys have owned us for some time now.

"Philadelphia isn't usually in that position against the Islanders, winning 33 of the past 39 meetings and 20 of 25 on Long Island."

I can relate this to playing any sport. Sometimes there is teams that for some reason you own or they own you. We are the fly to your windshield.

He played well when he came in the other night BI. Most of us remember last time we played a home afternoon game last season and I have a feeling this could be as ugly. Maybe not 7-0, 6-2 you guys sounds about right.

There is a game against Carolina tomorrow, too. Emery was going to get one of those two starts. Even extended, there are four games in the next six nights and at some point during that stretch Emery would start at least once.

If we lose this game we do not deserve to be in playoffs.

And please no more short handed goals, lets get one instead

MORE: 3rd period intensity (I-N-T-E-N-S-I-T-Y, says Bobby Ryan)
LESS: 2nd period inanity
