Clearly thou this was one of the bold moves Mctavish talked about. It was all about Omark infiltrating the Sabres organisation, stearing the ship in the right direction and picking up points. Making sure Edmonton outtanks Buffalo.
You're talking about the guy with 2 shots in 7 games, and a single assist?

You Swedish posters and Omark, I swear.

Why are we still talking about this? Rumour was Linus was going to go home if he was still in the AHL by Christmas. Mact got what he could for a guy that was already waived.

Omg letting Omark go was a tragic mistake if we kept him he might have had a pp assist in the last 7 games for us.

we're still talking about this because there are some delusional fans that think Omark may have "made a difference" if we had just given him a chance. he had his chance in previous years, even had some fair production, but so did Robert Nilsson, and he like Omark was never going to play enough of a well rounded game to ever be much of a difference maker. some people just can't let go....

I think Omark can have a career in the Nhl, a coach who believes in him and fit the team.

Zuccarello are a good example, up and down Nhl-Ahl , he even left for europe, complained about his situation. Tortorella gone and zuccarello leads the Rangers in points.

2 small skilled players who has had similar careers !

Funny that Omark only have 1 point in the high scoring Sabres but team best among forwards in +- with -1 in 6 gp. Suddenly isnt Omark a defensive liability , pretty funny though.

Was going to mention Nilsson... exactly the same kind of thing... except well Roberta actually had 41 points one year... and almost thirty two more times... NHL teams did not have the time of day for him still and for good reason... Omark has does even less both production and play wise... no reason to think he is anything but a curiosity and foot note inOilers history

Never even cared either way about Omark, yet here I am checking this thread just because. Talk about an enigma this guy has become in Oilerland.

Imagine if we could harness this absurd power he has over oilers fans and use it for good, 100% sustainable energy fuelled by some sort of homer/hater alternator. I'd use it to power to rexall goal horn which I love the sound of so very much but don't get to hear as much as we should.

I've been drinking, I'll show myself out.

Any team that can afford to leave Omark off it is pretty much guaranteed for the gold.

Its pretty much riots everywhere in sweden at the moment. Everyone is very dissepointed Omark didnt get a spot. However like you say we are so stacked at forwards in sweden its hard to cut anyone.

Had Omark only been Canadian, he could atleast have given you guys a fair shoot.
Maybe you guys could try to greencard marry him or something? Doubt it be proccesed before olympics thou..

Omark had his best game so far as a Sabre against Hurricanes last night. Without a doubt it showed what a huge potential he has and what a misstake it was for Edmonton to let him go. Omark was all over the ice dominating the hurricane. One could even say he rocked them like a hurricane!
He was named man of the match!

Yeah! Man, what a game from the kid last night. Offensively, he blew through the opposition like a gale force wind. I'm not sure how many shots he ended up with, but to the other team, it must have felt like they were caught in the middle of a blizzard! The best part was his defensive play, though. Any time a Carolina player even got near the puck, Omark was on them like 5 and a half feet of solid, wet, immobilizing snow. Truly, an historic night for Linus, and all of Sweden.

this thread is funny

only comment is that the dwarf on the rangers does not take shifts of like our former hobbit

it is threads like this that cause visitors to our little realm to think there might be something in communal water we bath in and then drink

You get it man, i like you!

Todays game he did look freaking great, no bs.
He set up guys to score around 4-5times clean breakes on Thomas. He was one of the very few people who kept the puck offensivly and created offense. Sure it was agains the panthers, but damn he sure looked like a nhler today...

His backhand pass to McNabb on the power play is out of this world.

From the initial deke to the spinaround backhand pass, a classic Omarkian move! Nice to see him adding some entertainment value without causing glaring defensive holes.

Wow 1 assist in 9 games, I can't believe the Oilers gave up on this guy? Who knew he would start tearing it up as soon as he got a legit shot with another NHL team.

There are only 2 things that matters me with Omark

1. He must paly enough games so Sabres need to sen 6th rounder here
2. The pick must be used well or traded with the player/another pick to up grade somewhere else in the system

Or

3. He sucks enough that we never hear about him again.

Could really careless about the pick, just glad he's not our issue anymore and I don't have to read the numerous posts throughout the year on how we are screwing him up.
