If we actually wanted to trade for Drury right now and not wait for him, I'd expect it'd take:

Prucha, Dubinsky, Staal, and a 1st.

That's how valuable he is to Buffalo right now.

Just a bit of advice on trade proposals. There are two sides to deals. If your looking to rip someone off for a rental atleast look for a team that is actually selling. No 1st place team is going to trade their co-captain/star players for the guys the team can't even give away.

In short NYR will have to wait til this summer to have any hopes of aquiring Drury.

Do not take the asinine proposal from one poster, when clearly every Ranger fan repsonded by laughing at that proposal, or at least questioning why Buffalo would do such a thing.

Not to be rude, but did you read all of the other posts on this thread? Other than the two asinine offers, all the other posts are Rangers fans basically policing the board and informing the original poster that he's nuts. To chime in on post 27 with a chastisement comes off as pretty petulant - like you're looking for reasons to complain.

any other feasible options at getting drury?
JOrts, is that you?

I would love to have him on the Rangers, but it isnt going to happen. Atleast not in the near future.

Everyone would love Drury but that trade proposal is ridiculous.

No one wants Malik, no one needs Hossa. Not to mention you can't "pick up" parts of a players salary.

BUF would want Tyutin and then another player or top prospect/pick.

Any calls to the Sabres GM inquiring about Drury would and should be answered promptly by the sound of a dial tone. You're not getting this guy this year. End of story. Drury would have to walk out on the team and refuse to play for them ever again for it to even be considered. You have about as good a shot as getting the Penguins to trade Crosby. There is just no deal that is worth making that would get it done. You want to trade Staal, Montoya and 2 or 3 first rounders, hypothetically, I guess they'd listen. But you wouldn't and they won't. End of story.
