Oilers Fan Poll (From the team)

http://www.formstack.com/forms/oilers-2014_january_poll

Saw this on twitter (Thanks @mlse). Looks legit. Go hard everyone. I'd suggest to us tech savy folk don't use ballot stuffing means. We don't want the results to be tossed due to tampering.

I think it's an insult to even ask the question of whether or not the fans in Edmonton are committed.

Well, apparently if you think Kevin Lowe is to blame for the mess the Oilers are in you're "not committed" to the team. It's absurd.

No kidding. They should know that we wouldn't be complaining if we weren't committed.

What a BAD poll. If that's an official Oilers poll, the person in charge of the poll needs to not ever be put in charge of anything again...

Don't be surprised if, in the near future, we hear statements like:

"90% of Oilers fans are committed to the team. The negativity is just from a vocal minority" No ****. You think we'd have an anti-Lowe billboard if we weren't committed? Or: "70% of Oilers fans believe the team will be better in one year. The negativity is just from a vocal minority." No ****. How can they be worse?

The opinion poll: ally to spin doctors and public relations departments everywhere.

Edit: That might be a bit harsh, actually. Even an opinion poll is better than nothing.

This needs a comment section, the answers are so vague. Yes and No aren't adequate inputs for research documents.

That exactly what was going through my head as I filled it out. Like with question 3, of course we don't think it could get worse than it is now (it can't right?) but now we're gonna hear statements like "almost 100 percent of fans expect the team to improve next year" and it could be used to excuse anything from Lowe's track record to the coaching or scouting.

I was not emailed that poll. The last two emails were the letter from Katz and the yearly survey.

Polls are a horrible way to determine public perception because almost every question asked can be taken out of context and spun around by the poll master.

See every political and research poll ever.
