After being down 2-0 and 3-1, Isles have come back and tied the Rangers. Pretty sure we want that one to go the Isle's way. In regulation

Pasted. But the Isle!

Caps fall again, to Ottawa but I still think that's the better outcome, right?

Nasher gets 2 more goals tonight but the Isles score late-ish 3rd period to win 5-3 (after an empty netter).

Who am I with these game updates, CBJBrassard?

Caps lose too. More separation.

go Isle tonight! I think I will go read up on the NYR GDT for a little while, for fun.

I was wondering that too, given Ottawa's proximity to us in the standings. Still, I do think that's the better outcome. Caps are really in free fall

The Wild are pretty much unwatchable. 12 shots with about 7 minutes to go.

Tracking numbers, statistics, probabilities and rankings isn't math? We need to have a talk with your instructor.

Bobby Mac on the radio postgame show last night: "Big win for the Islanders tonight, as they come from behind to beat the Rangers 5-3. Rick Nash with a pair of goals in the loss. Sound familiar, everyone?"

It's silly but understandable and defensible from fans. From someone in Bobby's position, it sounds petty and unprofessional.

More like the truth hurts. This is what Nash's career has largely consisted of. He was very prophetic when he said trading him would help the organization.

It doesn't hurt me. And if you read my whole post, I said it's understandable from fans. Just sounds "small" coming from BMcE.

Agreed, don't see how this would make them any worse. Good trade for them imo.

Yeah, that's a bad news. Those Preds still can do nothing good for the Jackets. Why would they need MDZ is beyond my understanding. He wasn't good even on the PP this season any more.

I'm not saying the truth hurts for you. More for Nash. I don't think that McElligott is saying anything that hasn't been discussed on this board before. I don't find that unprofessional, I think he's being factual and he was around the team everyday so he would know better than any of us here.

Yes. I allowed the bolded. From a fan on an internet forum, I don't care. From a professional in a professional setting, it sounds weak, bitter and unprofessional. And you're right, he should know better.

Three posts on this pissant topic.

So it seems Philly's M.O. is to look like dog crap for 55 minutes of most games, then score 3 or 4 in a 5 minute span and eke out wins. I don't think they're that great of a team.

It sure does look that way again tonight although they did score just before the end of that period. Gerbe went all Nick Foligno on Mason for a goal.
