I played two years ago when it was only $1,500. It was worth it for that price. A lot of other younger B level players played as well. It's not worth it for $3,000 though - most decent players get priced out at that level. I stopped by last year to check it out and the level of competition was way down - basically all Lower C level players.
Much better than you'd think honestly....buddies I play with played B in Philly and Boston, and they say the B we play in is at least at the same level.

Realizing I may not have answered your question now...A is best players (college, major junior, retired nhl, ahl etc) B, C (there are multiple levels of C usually...from beginner players to players who are quite solid, just not quite to the B level)
