Play him on the left and he won't be anywhere near awful.

If he regains his form, it's a flat-out steal for Nashville.

Might as well get used to it. This move limits Moving Weber or Josi now pretty much eliminating any chance at the top 6 guy that is needed. We will continue to ice what we have for the forseeable future.

I guess this team does not need forwards will will continue to rely of the perimeter shot and defensemen to carry the offensive load.

You got a solid player who just wasn't going to make it in New York. MDZ will learn a ton from Weber, and if he gets his form back, he'll be a 50 point PMD for you guys. Very happy with this trade.

Good luck Nashville!

No this fanbase just got bent over again and took a low hard one. There is no way no how we need another defenseman. Period

Klein's value could have easily gotten us a 30 goal top 6 fwd

Not straight up. Would have to be a package deal. This hamstrings us further though from trading a defenseman for a forward. I guess we could trade Ellis, who has little trade value now.

MDZ is an RFA making 400,000 less than Klein and shouldn't receive a raise. Don't worry...He's not going anywhere.

And there is a reason he does not deserve a raise. We have Ellis of the previous two years. Where the clammer was to dump him. And I can see where the Rags fans would be happy. We have just been Sthalberged on the blueline.

Hey guys, oilers fan here so an outside opinion. I think you stole MDZ. funny to hear all the rangers fan bash him. He has his ups and downs, but he is 23. He still has big time upside. Reminds me a lot of Yandle a few years ago, every one was saying the same thing. Every one sayd he was too week defensively. He just needs to play wiht some one like Webber or Jones.

Where do you guys expect him to play?

Maybe you can stop being vague and actually tell us which team would give up their 30G scorer for Klein. Surely you have a few players in mind.

Your exactly right. And now Nuttin can happen with out dismantling the D. Im still seething, I was PISSED after Mark Eaton departed now KK. Not every player on the blueline must be offensive. Damnit KK and Josi are the closest thing I have to a favorite on this team or had.

Well for those Smith lovers out there who give me such a hard time well I have a new player to hate on now.

Have you read the Rangers board? I'd say 50/50 are upset at the trade. Get your facts straight.

Wow. Interesting deal. Probably a win win. We will see. I need to digest this trade before in depth commentary.

MDZ is horrendous. You can't tell at first glance but 82 games from now you will know.. Having said that, I was expecting the rest of the league to be delusional and for the Rangers to get more in return for him. If Klein fill the role of a decent third-line shutdown guy, the Rangers got what they needed.

Love Klein, but this is a fantastic trade for us if MDZ can get back to form. Definitely see Ellis as trade fodder at this point.

Not terribly upset about the lack of forward in return as I think people were overestimating our ability to trade Klein for a good one without adding even more assets.
