Has been for a while now, because the new sticks break so often that they consider breaking someone's stick as illegally "gaining advantage". I think they call slashes that don't even break the stick because it makes them seem more consistent, or something. At least that's the only rationale I can think of. Stick didn't break, didn't knock it out of his hands and the puck went 3 feet away from him afterwards. It was hardly anything
