Does anyone know his status? He went out of the game last night with an upper body injury, Playfair said he doesn't think it is too serious. But has anyone heard anything else on it?

Langkow will be playing on Friday against Columbus. The injury was nothing serious (according to The Score and Jim Playfair).
And regarding Jarome Iginla's injury, it could have been a lot more serious than it was, so we should consider ourselves lucky for the degree of seriousness that it was (and that the team was able to hold the fort until his return).
The Flames are calling Daymond Langkow's upper-body ailment 'bumps and bruises.' He had a day off on Wednesday and is expected to have another off-day on Thursday before hopefully returning on Friday. The Flames held an optional skate on Wednesday. Nine skaters and a goaltender participated - Jarome Iginla, Matthew Lombardi, Stephane Yelle, Marcus Nilson, Eric Godard, David Moss, Roman Hamrlik, Mark Giordano, Andrei Zyuzin and Jamie McLennan. - TSN (1/31/07)
how close is iginla?? next week. good to see langkow is ok. cant wait to see our lineup in full force with conroy, iginla, kobasew and langkow all here and healthy.
From what's been reported, he's expected to return on friday against Columbus.
On the fan they expect Jarome to play tomorrow. I would rather see him get one extra day of rest and play saturday against Vancouver! You want him to get all the rest he can, and that Colombus game isn't as important as the Canucks game. We'll see if the doctors and coaching staff let him play or not.

That's a good point, but at the same time, playing against Columbus will get him all warmed up for the Canucks. But I really dope hope he plays only if he's sure he's 100%. The worst thing he can do at this point is return too early and make matters worse with his injury.

i'd rather him play his game back in a less physical game... get him a little more used to game speed hits
On the fan they've pretty much said Iggy is all but playing tomorrow. Dido for Langkow! This is fantastic news because, sans Kobasew, we have a healthy lineup for a change!!! Look out Jackets and Nucks.....
Alex Tanguay skated with Jarome Iginla and Craig Conroy midway through practice and it looks like that will be the line. Kristian Huselius will man the left wing with Daymond Langkow and David Moss. Langkow is skating after suffering an upper-body injury against the Kings. The team worked on breakouts and a semi-breakaway down the wing where players shot then got into position for the tip on point shots. The sideburn competition is apparantly over as Robyn Regehr and Kristian Huselius were clean shaven. - TSN (2/1/07)

as long as langkows icetime isnt hit i like that. him and huselius developed some great chemistry
tanguay-conroy-iginla
huselius-langkow-moss
looks damn good to me.
the potential after that is what bothers me though. amonte slows down any line he plays on. so if it ends up being
amonte-lombardi-kobasew. thats bad. it'll slow down lombardis progress this year for sure. amonte cant finish and is a bad linemate for good players. playfair needs to stop giving him a chance and placing him on the top 2 lines. i would rather have friesen playing the LW. (amontes not a LW anyways, but i've seen amonte with lombardi and kobasew earlier so iam assuming thats the plan)
I'd much rather see Warrener in there playing with Regehr than Zyuzin, though. And maybe Ritchie and Nilson trading places?
Warrener is probably really banged up and Gio & Ference have been playing pretty well together... if Zyuzin is paired with reggie expect Fwerence to pair with him sometimes to keep Zyuzins ice time lower
and i am very disappointed to see Lombardi down on the 3rd line... would prefer to see a 2nd line of Lombardi, Langkow and Huselius
