hopefully Langkow isnt out long... but in the meantime i could handle a Tanguay - COnroy - iginla line... i have also had thoughts that maybe Playfair should try Lombardi in the 1st line LW spot and have Tanguay - Conroy - Huselius as the 2nd line... Juice seems to be playing well with anyone he is paired with and it appears as if Tangs and Connie have something as well

They said on the fan that Langkow's injury is minor and that they expect him in the lineup on friday! Which is great news because l want him healthy when Iggy comes back on the weekend!

All this stuff with Conroy is great and our forward depth is phenomenal, but l am concerned about what this will do to Lombardi. He was playing with good pluggers like Ritchie and Nilson last night, and not scorers. He did play 14 minutes, but that's probably a few less than what he is used to. It's great to have Conroy back but Lombardi has proven and earned a lot this year!

Lombardi on the wing might make sense because its a shame to see him without skilled players.

On the other hand, Calgary could opt to balance its attack at even strength:

LW - C - RW
Moss - Conroy - Iginla
Tanguay - Langkow - Kobasew
Huselius - Lombardi - Amonte
Friesen/Ritchie - Yelle - Nilson

When Daymond comes back, this gives the Flames three offensive lines that would be hard to defend against. Just a thought.

Huse on the 3rd line? Surely you're jokiing....

I don't see how Conroy, who's been **** in LA, makes the Flames' top line???

Langkow and Iginla are sure to be together, imo.

There's no way in hell Kobasew should be playing in the 2nd line while Huselius plays in the third.

It's called spreading the talent fellas. Bowman used to always mix it up like this and it worked for him, didn't it?

Shuffle the written order of those top three lines any way you want. Even strength ice-time would be shared evenly between these lines and the best line on any given night could get some bonus minutes at the coaches discretion.

On the powerplay Iginla, Huselius, Langkow, Lombardi and co. would obviously still eat up the minutes.
