I wanted to go back on the Pens board and see their GDT for Crosby's 1st NHL game in '05, and while I was there, one of their guys did a scouting report on all of their players.
Here's his scouting report on then Pitt D prospect, Paul BizNasty.
Paul Bissonnette: This guy is just the best! He is the most vocal player I have ever seen on the ice. He is like a conductor on the ice, telling everyone where to go, what to do, etc. When I saw him play 2 years ago with Saginaw, he looked like a man amongst boys; now, he looks like a veteran NHLer, even amongst the other veterans in camp. Has excellent skating ability that allows him to do an excellent job of controlling the gap against oncoming forwards. Makes smart plays with the puck in all 3 zones. Looks amazingly calm out there and doesnít seem to get rattled. Makes incredibly smart plays in the offensive zones: he doesnít pinch in often, but does an excellent job of it when he does do it. Makes the hard low wrist shot from the point every time rather than try to wind up for the big slapper, and this resulted in several good chances and at least one goal. His character is sensational. So far in this camp, he has proven to me that whatever great things he has shown in the past are certainly not by fluke. Iíll be very surprised if he is not a top-3 defenseman and a potential captain or assistant with the Pens long-term, and I donít know how long theyíll be able to keep this guy off the roster. He could play in the NHL right now, IMO. He and Carcillo have easily vaulted their way into top-6 or 8 prospects.
Not bashing Biz, but I thought it was interesting.
Mine are: 93.3, 97.9, 95.5, 100.7, 103.1, 103.9 plus a few others I forget.
103.1 is owned by a guy who programs the station with his large collection of music for his own personal enjoyment. The guy has run the station commercial free and without promotion for 10 years. More info here.
Last April I was trying to bid on a new FM station for the east side of the Phoenix metro. Unfortunately the price was driven higher than I was comfortable with. I would love to do something like the guy with that station above but unlike him I would have to air advertisements because I don't have a big pile of cash. Without any employees operating cost are at least $4,000 a month and when you add in employees you are quickly having to payout $10,000+ a month. At 10k a month and 5 minutes of commercials an hour I would only have to charge $2 per commercial to break even.
