For the Devils game you can see the flyover. Other than that you can hang out at Stan's or Yankee Tavern.

They'll never be able to get near these prices ever again for an outdoor game after everyone got burned
The NHL is not in the business of making ticket resellers money. In their minds they would rather overcharge, have people pay them face value, and those who want to take the risk and think the secondary market would be higher can try their luck. Much better for them than charging too little and having resellers making insane amounts of money.

The Mets have done this with opening day the past few years, face for that game is 3x what it is for a normal game. As a result they have a tough time selling out, but I'd guess they'd rather take that over $15 upper deck seats going for $40 on stub hub.

What you're saying isn't really applicable here because of the second game. Rangers STHs were forced to buy both games when the vast majority of fans could only justify the expense for one game. The NHL knew this and chose to squeeze the lucrative NYC market. The NHL is in the business of growing their brand & popularity, and the way this all went down is going to hurt that brand

This is crazy. I would go but I am already going to the Devils game and nobody wants to go to the Islander game with me. Not traveling by myself from Jersey

the clear bag policy is for Yankee games and doesn't seem to be applicable to these events. See the guides:

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...&postcount=291

They don't seem to mention food, but it's not on the list of prohibited items. There's just bag size & type restrictions

well yeah... that's why I'm asking. There is no mention of that policy and nowhere does it say food is prohibited.

So i guess since food isn't prohibited and if i bring it in a clear bag smaller than their dimensional requirements, then its OK.

I'll give you $100 for all of them.

Thanks GG. I have to go to the SH LMS to pick up my hospitality passes. Is the 153rd garage the nearest?

better off driving to the gateway mall, going to the office, then going to the lot you wish to park in.

I'm glad this is all almost over and the NHL won't be able to charge these prices for things like this again. The Winter Classic, maybe, but this, especially with places like Stubhub, was ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure your tickets are at the 40th street office until Saturday night, then they'll move all uncollected tickets up by Yankee Stadium. The office there is in the mall. There's a parking lot there which isn't "official" (a.k.a. it's cheaper). Prepaid is $18:

If you have the chance I would recommend getting them in midtown to save you the hassle

Is section 239 bleachers or seats? And if it's bleachers how does that work? Since the tickets have seat numbers. I've never been to Yankee stadium. Also, paying for parking in a garage is around how much? We saw parking passes on stub hub. Good idea/bad idea?

Were the Rangers the only team who offered a hat/scarf for their fans?

dont buy parking pass on stubhub - way overpriced, you can park for $35 bucks in the lot right across the street.

bleachers are just like any other numbered seat in the stadium. they are not GA. only difference with bleachers compared to the regular seats are that the bleachers have are a metal bench with no seat bck

Honestly, I imagine that parking will be a pain. I would recommend public transportation. (ie: subway)

My main concern coming from Suffolk County is that taking the LIRR in this cold has been spotty. If I knew the trains would not have any problems I would definitely take the LIRR

Yeah, coming from LI might be a problem. You could try driving into the city and taking the subway from there, but that's probably too much work.

But in most cases, subway is the way to go.

Not just the parking. The idea that everyone will be leaving the stadium at the same time, and of course, NYC traffic.
