He seems pretty defensively aware and usually gets himself in a good position. You don't see him lose players very often when the zone is established. He is definitely quite smart defensively, and reads pressure before it happens... like he hardly ever gets hit along the boards by forecheckers, the puck is either gone on he evades them.

Though I think his gap control is made to look better than it possibly is due to his stickwork... he gets beat but then just pokechecks the puck often from behind the play or a bad angle for him.

He only really gets in trouble though by seemingly just switching off... like he will get himself into a great position and make the wrong play or a borderline one.

He makes everything look so easy until he ****s up basically! He never really looks flustered.

http://www.modohockey.se/spelschema.html there is every MODO game this year highlights here, (click efter match, it should actually start when you click on the game) so if you go through the stat page (press Arena>Liverapportering>Statistik>MODO) you can find the games he was on ice for goals against and see how/if he ****ed up.

Though the highlights are only like 2-2.30... so you could watch every game he has been in so far this year. (like ~38 I think.)

Here is his playerpage http://www.modohockey.se/trupp/MODO/4979 that has his points videos on.

I still don't see the Coburn comparison. Style-wise he reminds a bit of OEL- same size, somewhat physical, smooth skating, positionally solid, good hockey IQ. I think Coburn is a very valuable guy but I don't think he has a particularly high hockey IQ. If not for his skating and his size I'm not sure he'd be all that good.

I don't expect Hagg to be as good as OEL, but I think he's a similar kind of player.

Hagg's either not standing straight up or the angle the picture was taken from makes it appear to look that way.

Hagg's listed as 6'2" & Gostisbehere's listed as 5'11".

Gostisbehere was discussed best case as a Keith, and likely a Shattenkirk, which I'd love.

I'm hoping we get something close to a Kronwall with Hagg.

A young, athletic Coburn, Kronwall, and Shattenkirk? I'll take it. Plus Schenn, Alt, Lauridsen, Wilcox, Gustafsson? Fingers crossed
i don't mean to sound stupid but does anyone know who is helping with the morin project? like is pronger trying to teach him somethings (off ice obviously) maybe could have hatcher or desjardains help?? just curiosity really i feel dumb for asking but i want to know lol

Derian Hatcher and Kjell Samuelson seem to be in charge of player development since Lappy changed to assistant coach.

Hatcher's the only one employed as a staff member by the Flyers, player development to be exact so likely him out of the three.

That doesn't mean he'll turn into a player like Hatcher I mean he could but not because Hatcher is in charge of his development.

Yep, Morin really needs to bulk up.

Should ask L. Schenn, he'll show him the proper way .

No kidding. I really forget how young these guys are... They just started driving a couple of years ago, meanwhile I have been driving since they were born.

It's pathetic for Timmy, and a lot of the other media pundits to treat players the way they do, when a parents involvement (in any other profession) would be immediate, and vengeful. The equivalent to punching a toddler with her hands tied behind her back. Those kids look that young.

The picture was taken back in summer during the Flyers Developement Camp. He's already started to pack on the pounds, he was at 200 lbs. around the draft & then added on 10 lbs. between then & the start of his season in the Q. He even grew an inch for good measure making him listed as 6'7" & not 6'6" like he was listed during his draft.

Him and Hägg are going to have the combined size and weight of a combine harvester when fully grown.

Age 18:

Hägg: 6'2 and ~210lbs
Morin: 6'7 and ~210lbs

both have already put on ~10lbs since the draft.

Seems like things are going too much according to plan. Seems like something should go wrong

At first when everyone was excited about Hagg and seeing a few of his clips I was thinking meh, he fell to 2nd round for a reason. Then when I saw his skating highlight video and look at his size, I really dont see a reason this guy wont get a legit shot in the NHL. Even if the Flyers are crappy at developing D-Men

Yup, I would assume Hagg is close to topping out physically while Morin still is growing.

Tyler Myers is listed at 219 on NHL.com (don't know accurate that is) but I would assume Morin gets to around 225 since he's more of a banger than Myers.

I'm in the same boat. I can't believe he's that heavy, bc he looks weightless on the ice!

Effort/compete seems to be the only red flag I see
