Montreal

Alain Vignault 1997-2000
Michel Therrien 2000-2003
Claude Julien 2003-2006
Bob Gainey 2006
Guy Carbonneau 2006-2009
Bob Gainey 2009
Jacques Martin 2009-2011
Randy Cunneyworth Interim 2011
Michel Therrien 2012-Current

Fun times. You'd think they'd learn to find players coaches since all they do is hire hard around the edges defensive minded coaches that wear thin with the players within 3 years at the longest.

Pathetic.

Oh, Deadmonton is tops.

Indeed. Boudreau, Hunter, and Oates. And if things keep up the way they have been recently, I'm thinking there might be a fourth name by the summer.

Edmonton. It's time for management to start pointing the finger at themselves

Since Lemaire was first fired in 1998:

Ftorek (98-00)
Robinson (00-02, 06)
Constantine (02)
Burns (03-04)
Lamoriello (06, 07)
Julien (07)
Sutter (08-09)
Lemaire (10, 11)
MacLean (11)
DeBoer (12-present)

16 years. 10 coaches, 13 coaching changes. DeBoer has actually lasted the longest of them all.

Edmonton.

Kreuger is in soccer now. (probably laughing his tail off, but not coaching, and out of hockey.)

Ed mo nt on

One fired coach rose from the ashes and became the GM and then he fired a coach and replaced him with one he'll be firing very soon. Crazy i know.

Until Chicago hired Q, carouseled a little. Since 97-98(The first year I cheered for the team.)
Hartsburg(3 seasons)
Dirk Graham(didn't even last a year)
Lorne Molleken(lasted part of a year, and part of another year)
Bob Pulford(finished the season Molleken was fired)
Alpo Suhonen(one year)

That was probably the biggest carousel in the Hawks history.

Brian Sutter(3 years)
Trent Yawney(1 year and a half)
Denis Savard(A year, a half, 4 games.)
Joel Quenneville, probably will be the longest tenured coach since Billy Reay.

This thread starts and ends with Edmonton. Sam Gagner has had the following list of coaches in his 7 year NHL career:

MacTavish
Quinn
Renney
Kreuger
Eakins

Came here to post this.

Soon to be Michel Therrien 2012-2014 (only 99 games so far with the club)

I think we should qualify Edmonton a little. If you include their time as assistants, Renney and Krurger overlap a lot. Eakins is the first major overhaul in the coaching department since Quinn.
