Howdie, for all you Kitchenerites, i was wanting to know how close/far the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium is from Wilfrid Laurier University, is it within walking distance, if not, is there an easy bus route to it?
I can't check myself, i live in Vancouver and will be attending WLU next year, i write for the Canucks and Manitoba Moose, so i was hoping to do some work for the Rangers, thats why i wanted to know
Well, if you're in great shape and feel like making the walk from WLU to the Aud, give it a try but leave yourself lots of time. If not, I'd suggest you take the bus. When I went to UW, I did happen to walk home from the Aud after Octoberfest but that was out of necessity, not desire.
Yeah im looking at the map right now, its pretty much as far as Waterloo, i just gotta get on Weber Street North, and that goes all the way to the Aud, and i'm sure theres a bus that goes along there

That is not the best way - more buses go down king and it's a much shorter walk from king to weber (& thus the aud) when you are at ottawa street. There is also a bus stop on king street right on Lauriers campus.

Yeah, you can catch a bus right downtown and walk the rest of the way, should only take 15 minutes of walking if you get off at the right place. Another 15 minutes for the bus, depending on how busy it is.
The arena where the Golden Hawks play is quite close, 10-15 minute walk from campus. Go to some Hawks games, I didnt' start doing it till my last year and now I regret it. Parties tend to get in the way I suppose...
