Damnit, Eklund...

He's reporting the Rangers have a big interest in Bertuzzi.

Wait, he's always wrong...this is good!

Eklund is like 0-5000 or something, don't worry about it. His "rumors" are about as likely to come true as the proposals on this board.

Although he is usually wrong it still is a little freightening to hear of a possibility of Bert to come to the Rangers. Some might not mind him here, I personally dont want him.

...

While of course i would prefer that we stick to building with youth, I think that Bertuzzi is a better option than guys like Tkachuk, Guerin, etc, who are all in their mid-30's.

Bertuzzi is only 31 and still has a lot of hockey left in him. He is also the kind of 2nd line center that we need...in that he is physical, yet also a good passer so him playing with Shany could work very well.

As long as we don't give up any of our top prospects, I would be very happy. Something like Rachunek and Hall and a 3rd the other way would be nice...I also would not mind trading Cullen since Bertuzzi would take his place at center anyway..,

He's not a center, he's a winger, and has never played center regularly in his career.

Imagining him with Shanahan is great, but his contract and his lack of production since the 02-03 season really disturbs me. I wouldn't give up much for him, especially how he's been sub-par and injured this year, on top of that ridiculous contract he has.

Bertuzzi could be a good pickup, depending on what it takes to get him. Right now his value is low.

Todd Bertuzzi is still recovering from back surgery. The Panthers expect him to return sometime in February. It could before or after the deadline. He just resumed skating late last week.Bertuzzi wants to return to action because he wants to increase his value on the free agent market this summer.Bertuzzi wants to sign with his favorite team the Leafs.A player coming off back surgery is really going to be a big help after missing most of the season

Bertuzzi? Tkachuk? The Rangers don't need another big name winger, they need a center.

The guy is full of it, but he made a name for himself during the lockout and now he is on XM. Bet the guy is rich, so he does not have a regular job, has nothing to do all day and knows a couple of reporters so he posts things on the net and is able to get press passes.

Bertuzzi had 7 pts in 7 games before he got hurt (I thought he played a few more games than 7 before he got hurt but anyways). That isn't too bad. The fact that he makes over $5 million per season is what has me going and the fact that he is a UFA at seasons end and there have been various reports that he may either go to the Coyotes to be with Jovo again or to Toronto makes it even worse, a double lol. What's even more sickening is that he is looking for more money then he got this season! Screw that lol.

I give this a Triple rating. lol
