Arvedson hottest scorer in the NHL right now?

7 goals in his last 7 games. That includes one game where he played 2 shifts before being hurt.

They always said he was a streaky guy...

Just hope for the Canucks' sake that he's "on" in the post-season.

Talk about streaky. He had 1 goal in his first 33 and now 7 in 7. That's streaking to the extreme.

Arvedson is the definition of streaky. It's unreal how hot he is right now. Thankfully when he's not producing offensively his defensive game is still there.

He's just playing with so much confidence right now, but as I'm sure many posters in this thread will say, the key is consistency.

What about Peter Forsberg?

- Personal 11-game points streak
- Seven goals in his past four games
- 21 points in ten January games - not including tonight's game

He has to be included as one of the hottest scorers in the NHL right now as well.

Its not a streak. He's been like that since game 1............of his career that is.

Enough of these two goal game... he needs a hattrick for crying out loud!

I'd just like to say that I predicted Arvedson would have a great second half.

And as someone has already mentioned: even if Arvedson doesn't score goals... he's amazing defesively. Great pickup by Burkey.

Arvedson had the HT, but he overskated the puck when the net was empty. Jarko put it right on his tape and Magnus was at center ice.......He tried to shoot it, and skated right on by the puck. Heh, poor guy I felt so bad for him at the moment........he wanted it so bad that he left the puck sitting there.

While he may be streaky offensively, I think he is pretty consistant in effort and in the defensive aspects of the game. And that is why the Canucks got him.

That's happened in all 3 of his 2 goal games. The other times he would go out there and play defense instead of shooting.

it doesn't seem like we have any problems with our 2ndary scoring again

actually the Canucks don't need a 2nd line winger at all... Arvedson's streak will last for about another 5-10 games, then he'll go cold again - but that's when King's slump is over and he goes on his streak again

that's better than the first time Crow had him out to try for the hat trick. Arvedson didn't really realize that they had him out there for the hatty and was back playing defensively the entire time.

Well, he better get 'em while he can cause the playoffs are coming up.

And we all know what happens to The Machine come playoff time. He becomes the Ghost in the Machine.

Seriously, though - I wish him all the best, super nice guy. Hopefully he can get his playoff stats on track starting this year.

Goals in the playoffs from Arvedson would be nice but keeping the puck out of the 'Nucks net is just as important imo and he does a terrific job at that... as long as his back holds out that is.

Right - he tends to disappear in that aspect as well.

Could be, I'll just have to find that out for myself I guess. But I think Arvedson had plenty of company when it came to disappearing in the playoffs... not last season of course but prior seasons.

I agree - he was just one part of the puzzle.

Anyway, like I said, I wish him the best of luck - I hope he can put his playoff demons behind him in Vancouver.

Arvedson is too serious all the time. They will ask him a question jokingly and he will try to explain it somehow, with his accent. It's great.
