I'd think it most likey to pull up a list of Gordie Howe hatrick leaders and then go from there...I know Shanahan is the all-time leader with 9 Gordie Howe hatricks.

That list is only good from 96-97 on. I just read that Howe only had one Gordie Howe Hat trick himself!

I don't even have to look up stats to know that this is completely wrong. Off the top of my head he did it to the Islanders at the end of the 2009/2010 season.

... No worries. Easy mistake to make as one just naturally expects that when they visit a thread, its you know, like current? Not some Zombie thread revived to make ya look stupid huh? I must say I was surprised to see it re-surface. I guess AngerManagement discovered the keys to Mr. Peabody's Time Machine & went cruising through the archives & into the past.....

Though tell ya what? Sure hope he didnt rest his elbow on the door frame with the window rolled down... turn into a fossil.

Tiger Williams might be a candidate in his best goal scoring/offensive seasons.

EDIT - this is what happens when you only read Page 1 of a thread that was started 6 years ago.

2 goals, 2 assists, but sadly 1 fight for Lindros. If it wasn't for the misconduct, he might have made it.

Same problem with Shanahan:

Per Hockey Ref no player has done it from 1987-88 to current.

This has been one of those things that I've wanted to find since this thread started years ago, and I'm convinced that it hasn't happened. I think I've gone through every instance from the 70s and 80s where a player had 2 fights in a game (from dropyourgloves), and couldn't any with 2 goals and 2 assists in the same game. There were so many times where a player like Hodge, O'Reilly or Bridgman would be just one assist short.

It's possible it happened earlier than that, but doubtful considering how scarce assists were in the early days, and how low the PM totals were for the top scorers in the 50s and 60s. And it's also always possible that there may be a missing fight not on DYG, or a missing assist not on the HSP, but I've given up trying to find it.

I wouldn't be surprised if it happened in the WHA though. And the junior leagues are also a possibility.
