Please check hockeydb or the nhl site. The guy is 6'0 tall. + he has a mean side. He got 90 mi utes of penalty with the isles few years ago + he had 143 in the AHL before.

Would be the ideal partner for DD and MaxPac and would allow Gallagher to goback on the EGG line.

What not to like ?

If we can get him for a plugs like Briere/Gionta and Diaz then sure, if we're giving up actual legit assets for him then Bergevin is an idiot.

If Desharnais, Bourque or Briere are going the other way I'll be happy. Hell if Gorges is going the other way I'd still be happy. But if it's for Markov or some stupid **** like Eller I'm gonna flip ****.

They do, I'm not convinced of this. They seem to be mostly terrible at everything from signings of UFA's, signings of their own RFA's and roster management. I haven't been impressed with anything they've done so far.

I know everyone credits MB for bringing in a large team to urround himself with, but to this point, they have been unable to protect MB from himself or even offer positive advice that would help the team. For all the talent they supposedly have collectively, they seem to know how to use very little of it. I'm becoming more and more convinced that MB hired a bunch of cronies he promised positions to after his hiring as GM. There didn't seem to be much of a vetting process, if any process at all. He jsut handed out positions like candy, the same way he hands out Molson's money, unless of course, he's dealing with our best player.

I would trade Eller in a heartbeat, he is regressing here.

He is regressing because Therrien is putting him in a position to fail. Look at Nino Niedereiter and how he's turned it around. Plus even if Eller isn't producing, he can still play a good defensive game and be physical. How many of our players can do that? None.

brière desharnais parenteau

Play-by-play would sound like :

"Desharnais wins the draw, passes it to Parenteau... Parenteau dumps it in, Brière gets to the puck, passes it back to Desharnais, Desharnais with the puck, cross ice pass to Brière, BRIERE WITH AN OPEN NET passes it to Parenteau, to Desharnais in the slot, Desharnais to Brière, to Parenteau, behind the net to Brière, to Desharnais HES ALL ALONE IN FRONT OF THE NET!!!... to Brière, Brière passes it back to Parenteau... Parenteau to Desharnais ... aaaaand the first period comes to an end, shots are 15 to 0 in favor of the Panthers the score is 3 zip after one."

Maybe he's regressing because his coach is an idiot. He was succeeding and putting up points early this season playing with offensive players and getting regular PP time.

Yeah Briere also has a mean side when he uses his stick, having a lot of PIM means jack **** if he can't even back it up in a fight or give body checks. He has 21 hits in 41 games this year. In other words, he's exactly what we already have: small, french, a playmaker, signed to a long lucrative contract.
