Six of us going to the game Saturday against Calgary.

When did this become a thread about teaching jobs?

When Head Crusher was talking about his new full time teaching job.

Could be the best game at Rexall Place all year, until these two teams meet up in the playoffs that is.

OKs lead 2-0 and outshoot Calgary pretty heavily despite being shorthanded most of the 1st period.

Perfect game so far.

OKs up 6-2. Moroz with an assist. Oilers prospect Greg Chase has 1G, 1A for the Hitmen.

Chase has been pretty invisible imo for a guy with a goal and an assist

He's one of only three Calgary forwards playing with any drive tonight, the other two being Tambellini and Virtanen.

Pretty dull last half tonight when the OKs coasted.

When did they stop doing the awesome intros for Louie. If someone from the team reads this, please bring them back.

Not even close as it turns out. But good crowd none the less.

Griffen Reinhart and Jake Virtanen really dont like each other. Tonight wasnt the first night those two have exchanged pleasantries. I noticed no fight/hit replays tonight on the big screen and the linesmen were quick to jump in whenever it looked like an altercation was about to happen. Looked to me like that was a mandate from on high. Was that because of the copious amount of kids present ie cub scout night?

Took in my first game of the year.

Showed up at about 6:30 to get tickets ended up in row 40! I severely underestimated how many people there would be!

That being said, even row 40 is a great seat for watching hockey in rexall. Ended up with lots of space and no risk of anyone kicking my seat (top row ).

Not as riveting a game as it could of been, the game was over 25 minutes in or so at 5-0. Oil Kings pretty much coasted the rest of the way and the Hitmen never got anything going.

Impressive performance. I imagine tomorrow will be a much tougher game.

My list ends after Tambellini and Virtanen. Chase got a few points by being in the right place at the right time, but he wasn't noticeable otherwise.

On a positive note, it was exciting to see Kieser have a big night. He always seemed to play better than his point totals suggested.

Seems to be the new thing with refs in all leagues. It's really getting quite annoying

Oil Kings with a 3-2 win in OT in Calgary. Moroz 1 goal 2 assists. Move 1 point ahead of the Hitmen for top spot in the conference.

Cool.

Awesome result that the OKs sweep Calgary in a home-and-home series on the weekend. Well done, boys.

Thinking about going to the game tomorrow, 11:30 start so hopefully there won't be any kids.

Will they serve beer?

Ha, this game is intended FOR the kids.

edit: I didn't like the new third jersey at first but it's grown on me and I picked one up on Saturday at the game. I think I now have 11 jerseys of varying teams hanging in my closet.

I am taking my grade 6 class to the game tomorrow, while leaving my Grade 5 class with sub.

Kind of off topic but keep up the great job on the pipelineshow! I've listened to all the draft eligible interviews and the scout it out loud segments
