Yea unless your a tier 1 fan you'll be paying more than face value.
I'm aware crosby's influence but like I said these are edmontonions, most of which are oiler fans, that are willing to pay these prices knowing full well their home team is going to lose. It's pathetic if you think about it.
Do the oilers drive ticket prices up when they're on the road?

I guess you haven't been to Rexall in a while. Opposing fans are ALWAYS there. Especially for marquee teams.

I sell my tickets below face value all the time. Maybe you just don't know where to look.

I've been to enough games to know that there aren't enough pens fans to drive tickets prices up to that level. Of course everyone wants to see Crosby and Malkin.
I get my tickets from stub hub, kijiji, season ticket holder and I've very rarely gotten tickets for less than face value. Where should I be looking? Under my pillow maybe?

Just buy from ticketmaster lol

Ticketexchange also has lots below face value and lots above face value

The rest of my tickets I haven't dumped on unsuspecting suckers are on there for face value.

Sorry for the bump (again.) But it has in fact been pushed back to Feb 28.

Lol, the casino parking lot going bye-bye/construction starting.

I won't update again if they keep saying "two more weeks" but allegedly its a firm date.

New image.

edit: I think this actually might be an old image. I saw it on another forum stating it was new, but I think that's false.

Not a very accurate representation.

I don't see any "Fire Lowe" signs or jerseys thrown on the ice.

If we're talking eliminated from playoffs, it'll probably be in December

It could be a new image because it doesn't feature the sky paddock in the rendering. Unfortunate given it was the most interesting aspect of the new rink and got deleted in cost cutting already.

After I posted the picture, I did some investigating and found this article from 2012:

http://zkahlina.ca/eng/2012/05/24/new-edmonton-arena/

And I do believe the skywalk is in that render (that white bar).

I don't think so. The sky paddock was similar to the catwalk at Rexall (just wider and more luxurious. With a fantastic view right looking down on ice level. I don't see it in the this render. It was in some of the older renders. They did remove it from the plans which is really unfortunate.

edit on second thought you could be right. its hard to see whether sky paddock is there with the angle shown and limited quality render.

This thing?

I'm pretty sure that is the white line he's reffering to, it's also on the link posted.

Yeah, I edited my comment. Seems like it is. Angle and quality of render not being so good it was hard to note. The Bleachers view in the other render is so generic looking. It looks like any Arena USA really.

Fun! A transforming building! Someone still needs to build the Edmonton Omniplex.

Thank God, that thing was an unnecessary risk IMO.

here is a question and sorry if it has been asked and answered-- in a few threads they are talking about provincial money for the calgary arena--I thought the province gave nothing directly to the oilers arena? if so--then would it not be logical for the province to do the same thing to the flames

The perfect arena for the Flames as they can shrink the seating capacity as bandwagon fans abandon ship during the rebuild.

Tickets are posted here daily/weekly in the ticket thread sticked at the top for under face value.

Also like the other guy mentioned, TicketExchange is legitimate and there are always tickets posted there for at or under face value, especially the closer you get to game time.

Sooooo, as expected the city is moving into Katz towers, when will this generosity end? At least with the massive lease from the city and immediately propping up that development the city has the option of naming the building. The city of Edmonton is going to 'revitalize' down town if it costs us every last cent.
