Just caught this on TEAM1040 in Vancouver on the Canucks pre-game show. Seems to make sense, as Brind'amour is certainly a 'Devils-type' of player, and they probobly do need another centreman.

The Hurricanes have apparently been rebuffed by the Devils on Friesen. The Huricanes owe Brind'Amour - who is out with a groin injury - $5 million for each of his next two seasons, and he has a $4 million player's option for the following season.
