The Dogs signed a defenseman to a PTO who was playing in the ECHL. Don't exactly know what that means for the other d on the roster, they have 8 now including him on contract.

So it is either a 2 Habs roster player for 1 Roster player or a Habs Forward for a D Man.

Yea you gotta think this, why else would they sit a player out of two games just in case they need him for the NHL.

Looks like Bourque + Thomas instead of Bourque + Andrigettho.

Yeah that's what i thought too. Good trade by the Habs if it happens, i'm always open to trade dwarfs cept' Gally, Drigettho and Reway.

Parenteau is a scratch again.

Thomas + Bourque for Parenteau?

Louis Jean said the Avs were willing to retain some of Parenteau's contract, is that referring to the same deal as rumored by AC on RDS. Andrighetto + Bourque for Parenteau + salary retained.

I hope there's a trade of some kind though. We've seen pretty much no roster move since the Parros trade. No waiver claims, no long term callups aside from Bournival making the team out of camp. I'd like to see some improvement no matter how minor even if we're building through the draft.

if they deal Andrighetto or any other young drafted player from the last two years for another 30 year old I will give up on this team, no way you build through the draft and then start trading them, thats what the last group of management did and where did that take us? would of been better off keeping Cammy and Cole until their contracts were done.

I love how everyone is hating on Thomas before he even gets a chance with the team.

I hope there's a trade too... but not for PAP please!!!! He's a good player but he's a patch for a few years only. Why make a trade like that? We don't need "depth" scoring, we need scoring period, and parting with assets for a patch is useless IMHO.

Kind of like Bergevin traded Kristo after his 9 first AHL games??

I don't hate him. I prefer Andrighetto. And I think that if there's some hate, it comes because of what he represents (small guy...). As far as I'M concerned though....it's true that he has a shorter leash with me based on who he was traded for....I do admit it. It is "agendaesque".....Can't wait for people to be that up front about their agendas....

You forgot that he lost a shoe in the snow too. Unacceptable.

They signed a D in hamilton because Beaulieu is not going back.

Drewiske is back from is injury, meaning that we have 3ds waiting in pro. Diaz, Drewiske or Bouillon is gone sooooon.

Thomas is a forward and they haven't called him up yet. So it definitely smells the trade.

Briere and Thomas for Bickell.
Diaz and Bourque for Parenteau.

Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher
Pacioretty - DD - Parenteau
Bournival - Plekanec - Gionta
Prust - Bickell - Moen

Or someone is sick and Thomas stays behind a bit longer in case that player can't play.

I don't follow the logic here? Thomas could go to Colorado just as easily from Western Canada as he can from Hamilton. Why is everyone jumping to the conclusion that there's a trade in the works?

Because everyone wants one

I'd be surprised if we actually did a relevant move this year.

The thinking is bourque + for parenteau, the + not being Thomas. THomas comes in to replace bourque in tonights game. Parenteau is a healthy scrath again tonight.

There's bound to be a trade soon anyways

Galchenyuk Eller Gallagher
Bournival Plekanec Gionta
Pacioretty Desharnais Bourque
Prust White Moen
Parros Brière

with Leblanc and Thomas on the outside looking in.

Markov Subban
Gorges Emelin
Beaulieu Murray
Drewiske Diaz
Bouillon

Beaulieu is staying.

Meaning we have 14 Forwards and 9 dmen after the olympic break (injuries).
Bergevin won't wait til the market heats up. He'll do what he has to do now or shortly.

simple math child

Could be that Thomas couldn't make it today so they decided to make him wait for this week-end games to save on cap, we're awfully close to the cap.

I doubt it's a trade.

There was a tweet for the physio girl to go to Boston asap. I guess she is responsible for checking someone who has become hurt or coming back from rehab supposedly. My bet is a winger is hurt and getting check out. Thomas will wait in the wings in the meanwhile until he gets word.

Not sure who could be hurt but Moen did get hurt with upper body a few days ago if I'm not mistaken, maybe he hurt himself again.
