I don't know what it is about Asham and Powe since they were both pretty good here and fan favorites to an extent, but since leaving here they just haven't stuck anywhere. Rangers fans don't even like Powe. Don't know why that is, but that's what I hear over there on their board.

EDIT: Well, Asham I kind of understand since he was a bottom six player who was best at scoring which is a bad combination, but Powe is weird. Was a fast skater, a great hitter, and a great PK presence here yet he sucks in NY apparently.

Yeah Asham is exactly what I would want out of an "enforcer" type, I think his shot is surprisingly good. Powe is a perfect 4th liner in my eyes. Then again so is Hall.

I think with Asham it was just/is a case of his career winding down, he was pretty good for two years in Pitt once he left here, but he is only a few months off 36 now.

He was a good bottom 6 guy from 02-03 to 11-12 really, capable of playing 3rd line minutes and being one heck of a 4th liner.

Powe... no idea really, he was great in Philly, Minny invested in him on a 3 year deal when he was only like 26 and a lot of their fans thought he was going to be a 3rd liner for them, he was ok on his first year in Minny then just seemingly is unable to get on a roster since.

Though reading comments from when they got waived over summer most Rags fans were ok with both of their play (especially Asham, more split on Powe, said he was a great PKer for them but had no offence) and their was some support for keeping both as 13th forwards...

Asham surprisingly had a nice set of hands when here, of course when you use them
for fighting as much he did they start to wear off with age. I loved him when he was here, he could fight with the best of them & chip in like 10 goals while not being a liability out there.
