I took every high level bust, either draft level or had good pre-NHL tenure since the 2005 draft. Obvious choices pre 2005 would be guys like Brendl, Jessiman, Montoya and Dawes.

I realize some of these guys are a little young to be busts, but I thought if I pushed it as far back as 2002, it'd all be Jessiman.

I figured 2005 on would be tough. 2000 to 2004 you have Montoya, Jessiman, Faladeau, Dawes, Immonen, Pock, Korpikoski, ect

There was a lot, a lot, of Grachev hype. Guys didn't want to trade him for MSL years back.

Sanguinetti.

With Leetch gone, the Rangers desperately needed to produce/develop a future cornerstone offensive defenseman. Staal would have been the shut down guy and Sanguinetti the guy who would produce.

Grachev. I still get excited about prospects (hey, that's why we're all here), but I was so unbelievably pumped for Grachev. Followed his games, watched all his highlights and some entire games. I was SO positive he was going to be a first line power winger.

His failure to progress was the beginning of my distrust of Gernander (which has only grown by leaps and bounds since then).

Grachev for me. Second place would be Werek...I really thought he would be a solid 2nd liner.

Out of those guys, Grachev. Wasn't really a fan pre-lockout. I thought him and Arty were gonna be a beast Russian tandem for us.

Lol, Antoine Lafleur just sounds like a bust.

Grachev all day long. Size, skillset, shot...I remember he put up big digits in Brampton. Lots of vids out there pumping him up. Really thought he was going to make a big impact at the NHL level. Yeah...so much for that!

None of the others mentioned I don't think really compared. Was some hype over Werek. Scouting services had him real high. Rangers got him and I was excited but I don't think he had the high end goal scoring hype that Grahev had.

Sanguinetti was probably the worst draft pick in hindsight. The Grachev hype was huge at one point so that's who I voted for. The drop off was huge and sudden with him (talk about inflated stats playing with Duchene and Hodgson). Wouldn't call Kundratek or Chiche a bust (any player after the first round to reach the bigs isn't a bust) and not ready to call Thomas, Erixon, Werek one either. Antoine Lafleur was a definite bust.

1) Grachev
2) Sang
3) Lafleur

Highest hopes probably would have been Grachev, but I wasn't really sold on any of these guys. I was probably still trying to get over the fact that Dawes wasn't turning into the 20g scorer I was convinced he was going to be

From that list, definitely Sangs. I was never too high on Grachev.

I completely erased Lafleur from my memory... ****

Probably Sangs, but I didn't really fall in love with any of those guys. Watching PA Parenteau start to have a good career hurt more than seeing those guys flame out.

Korpikoski is an NHL regular, how is he a bust?? he may not have to line talent considering where he was picked, but at least he still made it.. Dawes for a 5th round i dont think he is a bust. something was missing from his game because he did have goal scoring skill, enough to play in the NHL.

Tim Erixon was advertised by Bob McKenzie and Pierre McGuire as a guy who could step into the NHL immediately at the time of the trade. That didn't happen with MDZ's breakout season. He should've been an asset that the team could used in that season's playoffs.

Erixon. Out of the guys listed, anyway.

From the terms listed it has to be Grachev for me. I really thought the kid was going to be a solid 20-25 goal scorer.
