Rangers NCAA prospects update

I thought it was a well written piece that gave good information on our NCAA prospects.... Olver, Reese, and Kenny Roche are all in their last year of college eligibility... Which of these three do you think they will sign? I personally think they will ink Olver and Roche but not Reese....

I think all three will be signed. Reese is not talked about on the board but hes about as solid as they come on defense.

Better then players we talked about last year like Potter and Nate Guerin.

I have BU season tickets and Roche has been quiet all season. At best he's a 4th line grinder.

I think hes a longshot for the NHL yes...but I think he deserves the shot at the AHL at the least with the talent hes got. And we've signed other players with less talent to contracts in the past.

52 Points in 64 NCAA games over the past 2 season isnt that bad either.

I haven't watched him this season though (last season a lot)...could you describe how he's been this season? What are is strengths, weaknesses? Thanks in advance.

I've seen both reese and potter in person and I don't see much of a differance. Reese is a it more headty and potter more physical, but your chasing a fools dream if you think either is an NHL regular.

AHL contracts for Roche and Reese at best
NHL contract for Olver-2 years

Olver will turn 22 in May

18-21-3 year ELC
22-23-2 year ELC
24-1 year ELC

I don't think either of these three will be NHL regulars.

What sucks about it is that instead of keeping around guys like Giroux and Genoway, we signed guys like Potter.

Just another front office debacle in the history of the Rangers and Glen Sather.

oh come on. I don't think Potter's an NHL regular, but Giroux and Genoway? Letting them go was a debacle? There is a reason that they've both bounced around the AHL for a few years, they're no more NHL prospects than Potter is.

Giroux and Genoway. You are complaining about Giroux and Genoway?Talk about grasping at straws. Both of the players aren't NHL regulars

FYI,Potter has an AHL contract
