OT - Eklund Joins SPortsnet

For those who say he is 100% fake, he will be at the trade deadline special.

Will we see his face?

This may be a stupid question but do people know who he is or has he stayed anonymous?

I believe he has some viable sources and don't mind reading his rumours.
Rumours are rumours. He reports what he hears.

Is he gonna cover his face like he did on NBC? Stupidest. Gimmick. Ever.

Eklund is at least as reliable as Dreger was, anyway.

Side question: Are Sportsnet and TSN gonna do a charity donation like they did a few years ago?

Eklund will be set up in a special booth with his phones, IMs, e-mails, and text messages ticking so he can update and discuss the news with the crew as information breaks..

Maybe we will find out that Eklund is really....

Micheal Jackson?
Gary Bettman?
Playboy Playmate Of The Year?
The real Saddam Hussein?

which is where rumors come from. Most "rumors" are BS, they start from BS and they get carried away by irrational fans who love to discuss the possibilties but the fact is most don't come true.

Like he was boasting about how he once had Conroy to Flames as an (e1) but honestly anyone could have predicted that.

Flames have center issues, Conroy is a past Flame leader and great who is struggling on a team who is shipping out players to re-build.

To top it all off is Bill Guerin loves his site.

Some of the bloggers there bring up interesting topics, but usually they are the ones who break the story first. Sorry Eklund.

Sportsnet was absolutely brutal last year at the deadline. TSN had the involved players interviewed while Sportsnet were annoucing the trade...

They looked sad...

Sportsnet sucks. I'm gonna remove it from my channels. Their newscast is awful and all their hockey games are blackedout anyway. The only good thing they have is poker.

It will be even worse this year with TSN stealing Dreger. Like him or not the guy has contacts. So TSN has all the big boys.

The only difference I can see is that at the start of the show the hosts sit on a couch, then about 15 minutes later they move behind the desk

I disagree. MacKenzie has contacts. Dreger does a lot of his own speculating. I personally think he's horrible.

There I removed Sportsnet. I replace it with IFC, a much better channel. Plus they have Henry Rollins, he rocks any Connected gringo.
