I dont see how you all can be fearful of this game. Its an Original Six matchup with Shanny facing his old team down. You all should be psyched.

I missed the Devils - Detroit matchup awhile back and have regretted it... and thanks to Versus, I'll miss this one too.

Im going too, im 3-1-1 this year. Have no fear. The times i wore my jersey theyve lost and i dont have it tonight. Besides. The Rangers have to get back to .500 at home. (How lousy is that?) They have only 10 wins at home all year, how pathetic.

Not too worried, if we get the hard working, i care team we will be ok. Historically this is the team that usually shows up against Detroit, but you never know. Im not ready to throw in the towel just yet, Im holding Jagr to his promise of carrying the team.

Not foreseeing a win here like most of you guys,... hopefully it's entertaining at least.

Man, I pray were all wrong, and the Rangers pull out somekind of huge tear till seasons end, ahhhh...but back to reality

Let's go rangers?

Is Sather waiting to make a trade or does this salary cap era make it very difficult for trades to go down before the deadline? If hes got a chance to improve this club at center i think he should have done it already. It might be a blessing in disguise that he hasnt, but if the Rangers continue to fall and then he makes a late trade, it will be all wrong to give up anything then, unless it improves the team next year.

The window is closing. The Rangers lose tonight and they could find themselves in huge trouble, especially with a game against the Devils tomorrow. They could wake up on Wednesday 7 points out of a playoff spot.

It really sucks to be negative, but it feels like a 2003 game again. Always trying to catch up.

Being a Rangers fan the last decade or so has eroded alot of the moments I used to look forward to. Like Original Six matchups, rival games between our respective teams, etc. plus it has inverted our sense of success. I think most of us would rather walk away with a top 5 pick than a 2nd round defeat in the playoffs .

I feel ya, brother. Unfortunately, we decided to become Rangers fans. If their "rich legacy" teaches us anything it is that when the chips are down...so are the Rangers. They've risen up 4 times in 80 years. I'm going to play the odds here and say the Rangers walk away with the L.

The good thing is we should know were the Rangers stand for the season in less than 36 hours.

Two losses means the Rangers will need at least 18 wins out of the last 28. As mentioned before 3 points is a minimum in the next 2 games.

Personally i'm psyched for this game, i'm hoping to see a very fast paced hard hitting game from the Rangers. If they can keep the pressure on Hasek and play smart D I think they can take this one. Lundqvist has been playing good IMO (I know some disagree) and I think he can get the Rangers 2 points as long as they find the back of the net, I know easier said than done, but hey I have to keep the faith! LETS GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know where this team stands and its not good, but youre right 3 minimum if they want to stay in this thing. If they still havent closed the gap by the end of next week, i see no use for a trade unless its for next year and the future.

The window is about to slam on Sathers fingers.

I predict we win in a shootout tonight, and everyone jumps back on the 'Get Forsberg Now' bandwagon. 'Trade the kids, most of them don't make it anyway'. 'You never know what can happen once you're in the playoffs, look at the Oilers'.

And then we get spanked 7-2 by the Devils tomorrow night, and we're back to reality.

Then we take 1 out of 2 over the weekend, and we flip-flop again.

And so on...

Those lines aren't bad although I'm not quite sure why Krog is on the 4th line..I think he's actually played decent. As crazy as it sounds, I think it's going to help alot to get Rozsival back for this one.

Henke in net...

back-to-back, especially with his recent workload, may be problematic. Then there's back-to-back over the weekend. Let's see how Renney manages this one. Weekes is soooo cold right now that I don't think Renney has any choice.

one of the few teams ive never seen and aside from the rangers a team ive enjoyed growing up with and watching stevie y, shanny, mccarty etc all play for them. now that theyre all gone its still awesome to see guys like datsyuk play in a wings uniform. if we lose another embarassing one at home im going to throw **** on the ice...its only my uncle seats

Those lines are basically what they were in the begining of the season no? Ofcourse there wasnt Krog, but for the most part that was the deal, no? I kind of like the Prucha-Cullen combo seeing as they seemed to form a little bit of chemistry while they played the 3rd, now we need to see how well that translates with Shanny in the mix. The first line needs to come up big tonight and net atleast one, please! I have faith in Henke playing back to back, atleast more than I do with Weekes being as cold as he is due to his lack of games. Should be intresting to see how the Rangers play especially seeing as its a nationally televised game, hopefully Shanny is lighting some fires under these guys and gets them amped to play his former team if for no other reason. Next to the Rangers i've always liked the Red Wings with the Blackhawks a close second so I always enjoy these games. LETS GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think everyone can agree that the team has to show something here tonight.

The team needs a trade but it can't rely on a trade either.

They did that and lost to Toronto last week.
