Not expecting much for the game tonight... I still say the Rangers are going to take this one 3-2 in OT (we're bound to win one, right?)

My Colts won the Superbowl so I'm in happy mode for a few weeks...

COP line was a good one. I believe it will be back. Renney didn't want to embarrass Shanny before his old team by playing him as a checker. So he moved him to 2nd line... Cullen apparently can only play well if he feels that he's da man. Shanny presence doesn't let him do so. Renney may swap the two during the game, IMO.
Our chances to beat Detroit are greater that some people think. I'm somehow confident Rangers will win by two. NYR - 4, Red Wings -2 or 3:1, or similar.

Fans At MSG Tonight

Hopefully we do not get embarassed both in terms of the score board and the fans in attendance.

I don't want to see MSG decked out in 25% or so Wings.
When the Leafs were in town last week it sounded that way, as did it when the Wings went to NYI.

Let's hope the Rangers do their part on the ice and the fans off, DET is not like when we go to BOS were it close, this would be strictly bandwagon Wing fans.
Keep it to 10% or less and I'm happy.

I really don't understand why people have been saying this after the Leaf game.. it was not even remotely close to that amount

it wouldn't even compete in terms of how many visiting fans show up for Isles/Devs/Flyer games

what was true is that Ranger fans were quiet, but there certainly wasn't a ridiculous amount of visiting fans in attendance

The Wings have not blown anyone away this season, so there's nothing to worry about. If the Wings win, they win a one goal game.

I hope the Wings win it in OT. We need points to catch up with the Preds, but you need points badly as well.

I say Wings win 4-3 in OT. Shanny scores all 3 goals for you. I do not care who score for the Wings. The game should be a good one. Shanny was obviously my favourite player, still is.

Good luck guys and do not worry about this game, you can't lose big, I promise.

I usually dont put much stock into these types of stats, or most stats for that matter but it may make some feel a little better, the Rangers/Wings at MSG are
134-92-58-0.

Also:
* Henrik Lundqvist has posted a 1.94 goals against average along with a .929 save percentage in his last 15 games; In the last seven games, he has stopped 194 of 205 shots (.946).

94...

I don't understand this Shanahan 'checker' thing, as well a comment you made last week about Shanny playing on a third line. I'm not sure who he's checking since Jagr's still going against top lines. Also, Shanny's line still gets the second most ice time. I'm not sure why this would qualify as being a 'checking' or a 'third' line. I think Renney's switching it up because he realizes that Ortmeyer really is a grinder who should be with two other grinders (Hossa and Betts), and thus finally realizes that Betts doesn't become a good playmaking centerman just because he's playing with Shanny, and that Hossa, for all the good he seems to do, really isn't a second liner, and thus the best option he currently has is Cullen back with Shanny and Prucha.

I dont understand it either. All of sudden MSG is like the Continental Airlines Arena?

Please. Those %'s hes throwing out... cmon. Theres no sure way to tell anyway because thousands of fans who come to the games dont wear jerseys so you dont know whos side theyre on anyway (Rangers).

These next two games are it, they need to win both or else there officially not making the playoffs this year with this team. They are gonna need to show the character of a strong team in order to win these next two against Detroit and NJ and if they can do that and win both games I am not gonna count them out just yet. Big game tonight. Shanny needs to step up as does Jags.

I'm really dissapointed at all the negativity around here. You guys should all rent the movie THE SECRET which is all about thinking positive and about all the things that you want rather than what you don't. If you do that only good things will come. I just watched it in my meeting at my real estate company.

It the fair weather fans, same old story for any team, in any sport. There were alot of tickets available for the Toronto game, that's probably why more Toronto fans showed up. If we had a better record right now there would be less non-Ranger supporters in attendance.

agreed, ill watch it after work but im off tomorrow for a great game hopefully but tonight we gotta take care of the Wings. We cant take any penalties, that will haunt us. Wings put Holmstrom on the PP in front of the net. The Rangers should try that with anybody. If we stay out of the box we could win or take it to OT. I say 4-3 Rangers in shootout. Goals by Shanny, Jagr, Hossa, Prucha (shootout goal). Goals by Samuelsson, Zetterberg, Lidstrom

Good Lord, I see you brought your obsession with attendance to this board. I am assuming you finally got banned at the NYR.com board which is why your here. Can we expect your repetitive and ridiculous " What % of fans were visitor fans" threads after every single game? I wish I could bet Vbookie money on how quickly mucker annoys everyone on this site and gets himself banned.
