I feel like I am the only ahole on the planet who loved the Sherman interview.

That is one of the most honest interviews I have seen in a long time. Was it classless? Of course. But that is who (many) NFL players really are. Refreshing compared to the typical PC comments you would hear in a situation like that. Raw emotion.

I would be pissed if someone on my own team said some **** like that. I was pretty ambivalent about the Seahawks until now, but at this point, I hope Demaryius goes for 200 yards and 5 TDs against that ***hole.

Getting excited over a win is one thing, acting a fool like he just won the Intercontinental belt from Tito Santana is a whole other ball of wax

I liked the Richard Sherman interview. Very old school pro wrestling-esque.

Erin Andrews was kinda like a hot, female version of Mene Gean.

Dave Diehl retired today.

The guy was a warrior who helped win 2 SB's.

He was a whipping boy but he had heart.

I wish him well. I blame him staying around too long on management (mainly on TC and his incessant usage of Diehl).

Yep.

I could've dealt with DD as a once in a while backup, but he was used too much by TC the last couple of years. As part of our most successful o-line of this decade, he was by all accounts a great character guy. As much as I think "intangibles" can be overrated, there's no way you can dislike a guy like that.

Thanks to DD for being part of some hugely entertaining Giants seasons.

I'm anticipating a Sanchez, Cromartie, Santonio cut session in the next month. We should have somewhere close to 45 mill in cap space to work with.

I think we sign 1 of Rogers-Cromartie or Grimes to be the 2nd CB.
I think we'll resign Landry.
I think we'll sign Mark Ingram, Chris Johnson (if cut), or Maurice Jones Drew.
I think we'll sign a vet WR, i.e Vincent Jackson if he's cut or Anquan Bodlin.
I think we'll draft one of Ebron, Lee, Amaro, or Evans in the 1st round.
I think we'll draft Jordan Matthews in the 2nd round.

Those are the big improvements I think we make. Maybe sign an underrated offensive guard to take the spot of Winters as well.

I think next year the Jets will make some big noise.

Cousins "open to trade".

Value likely at a 3rd or 4th round pick. I'll take him for that to give Geno some competition.

Jets have so many more problems than adding another QB. Why waste a draft pick?

FWIW, I expect the Jets to be players for Nicks. Especially if he wants to stay local.

I dunno about so many other holes.

Cousins could provide Geno great competition and maybe even surpass him as the starter.

I would say one of our greatest holes is certainly the QB position. I know you're high on Geno, but i'm rather still quite skeptical. We went through some growing pains, as expected, but he was terrible from under center. I'm not saying he's not the future of this team, but I am also not putting all my eggs in his basket.

We have 2 3rd's this year. I doubt Cousins' value is even that high at this point. A 4th and a 6th could probably do it too... and we'll have extra 6th's as well.

We also have about 45 mill to spend this offseason once we cut Cro, Sant, and cut/trade Sanchise.

Holes I can think of:

2 WR
1 TE
1 OG
1 FS
1 CB
1 OLB

Then depth. We can conceivably get Ebron and Matthews in rounds 1 and 2. Sign a vet WR via FA. Take an OG in round 3 or sign one. Resign Dawan for FS. Sign Dominique Rogers Cromartie for CB. Resign Calvin or draft an OLB in the 3rd round too.

I see Vjax, Boldin, and Nicks being WR targets.

Ingram, Chris Johnson, and Maurice Jones Drew as RB targets.

Jarius Byrd as a FS target. Dominique Rogers Cromartie as a CB target.

If we touch Nicks I'll be livid. This draft class for WR is LOADED. I have no urge to spend big money on an overrated injury prone WR.

I think we cut Holmes, Sanchez, and Cro, but then re-sign Cro to a smaller deal.

In FA, instead of going for that WR, I'd much rather go OG in Schwartz/Asamoah/Beadles. Get one of those guys, re-sign Colon to compete with Winters/Ducasse, hopefully see an improved offensive line. Then, I'd love to see us snag one of the stud OLBs. Hardy or Orakpo. We've needed one for eons. If we could get one of those guys, we'll see our defense reach new heights. I'd also like to see us sign a cheap FS like Stevie Brown (also a biased UM student).

Draft:

1. Ebron
2. Davante Adams
3. Jarvis Landry
3. Ed Reynolds
4. De'Anthony Thomas
4. Logan Thomas
5. Max Bullough
6. Kirby Van Der Kamp
7. Colt Lyerla

QB: Geno/Thomas/Simms
HB: Ivory/Powell/Thomas
FB: Bohanon
WR: Adams, Landry, Kerley, Hill, Nelson
TE: Ebron, Cumberland, Lyerla
OT: Brick, Howard
OG: Beadles/Asamoah/Schwartz, Colon/Winters/Ducasse
C: Mangold

DL: SoA, Douzable, Ellis
OLB: Coples, Orakpo, Barnes, Pace
ILB: Harris, Davis, Bullough
CB: Milliner, Cromartie, Wilson, Walls
FS: Stevie Brown, Ed Reynolds
SS: Dawan Landry,Antonio Allen

I see the Jets building something similar to the Seahawks... after all Idzik helped with the construction of that particular team.

Look at the Seahawks team. They built around speed and physicality.

Harvin was just the last piece to the puzzle. They have 3 speedy WRs, 1 speedy back (I understand he's a boulder and wrecking ball but he's hard to catch from behind). A speedy QB. And finally their defensive philosophy revolves around conditioning and speed.

I love Evans, but I wouldn't be surprised if we drafted Marquise Lee in the first round. Then another speedy WR in the 2nd.

We're gonna get faster, and that'll be the key to our success on both sides of the ball.

Maybe go with Lee in the 1st round and Davante Adams in the 2nd.

Considering there is not going to be many OL options on the FA market, if the Giants draft one O linemen I'd fire Reese on the spot

Yep. They should pick up a OT / G in the draft and fill the other OL needs through FA.

This really undervalues Nicks. He's an amazing player when he's healthy. He took a lot of this year off since he was sick and tired of getting hung out to dry by Eli. As much as I dislike guys taking plays off, I don't really know if I can blame him. Look at how Eli got Cruz hurt at the end of the year.

Nicks is going to thrive with whatever team he ends up with.

I doubt Watkins or Easley will last that long.

Nice list of targets tho.

UFA is gonna have a MAJOR impact on the NYG draft(especially rd1) IMO.
