What happened to Lars Eller?

After last season and his hot start, Eller looked like potentially the big scoring center Montreal needed. But after about 5 game's into this season, he started to become extremely streaky and in his last 14 games he hasn't gotten a point, and is a -10 and has 3 points in his last 27. With all of Montreal's recent struggles, it surely isn't helping Lars and Lars certainly isn't helping out Montreal's recent struggles.
What happened to him? Do you blame him or Therrien?

Seems to be Therrien's life goal to derail Eller.

Like I said at the beginning of the season, won't get more than 30-35 points without consistent PP time and offensive opportunities.

He's third in the offensive pecking order after DD and Plekanec. Also, like we saw with Plekanec and Desharnais, hard to produce with Bourque, Prust and Briere as your wingers (exceptions being Briere with Plekanec).

Eller is the next Andrei Kostitsyn . both high drafted player , with big frame and lots of potential that show flashes of brilliance but can't put it all together.

Eller is an enigmatic Danish

It's not like Desharnais produced any better playing on the third and fourth line. Give the guy some offensively gifted wingers and Eller will produce.

Lars Eller is fine. He's the big 2nd line center we've all been waiting for and love to fantasize about and should be exempt from any criticism. Criticize DD if you must.

Give him pacioretty and gallagher and give DD prust and borque and see what happens.

Still disgusted by MT's ***** for DD. Wrecking the core and important players on the team for a 5'6 borderline useless midget. See where it's gotten us lately. Hate the favorism.

If Eller had Pacioretty and all the PP time Desharnais gets, not to mention the favorable matchups, this thread wouldn't exist. If Eller had freaking Gionta, this thread wouldn't exist.

He's a product of bad coaching and terrible team-building. If he leaves we'll have no one to blame but the two doofuses: the one leading the Habs out of the playoff picture, and the one busy shooting commercials.

Thank MB and MT and their love for DD. Must have caught the two of them sleeping together.

I agree. Should be in the press box, or at least the 4th line. Sucks the offense out of his line.

he plays with scrubs, give him ROR as his winger and we'd have the best shutdown duo for the next 10+ years

The way Eller is handling the puck this year Pacioretty would only have about 10 goals. Not only does he not feed his wingers but he overhandles the puck and turns it over.
