Oilers looking at Tyutin/Rachunek/Rozsival?

The word around Edmonton is that our scouts have been looking at Fedor Tyutin lately. I know he's one of your top defensemen, and probably on the "un-tradeable" list. But I was just wondering what it would take the Oilers to pry him off of your roster?

Untouchable. Part of our defensive core for years to come I'd say. Want Malik?

I meant as a starting point. For us to trade him would require overpayment. He is more valuable to us than his trade value is.

agreed...you don't trade away our best d man of the year. i mean what reason would you? to rebuild? he is what? 22, 23?

to improve our defense? he has been the most steady so you would actually hurt our d. maybe if they take malik, kasper, and give us 1st round picks for the next 7 years......

Start with Cogliano and add a bit from there.

Is that the kid from Michigan? I saw them playing on TV last week and wasn't sure if he was drafted but he was nasty.

NIt's not that he's great, but there is no way the Rangers could deal Tyutin given the frequent incompetnece and not ready stauts of what we have right now..Guys like Girardi, Lampman and mnaybe even Pock should ecen be more then 7th D-men...Then there' whipping boys Malik (deserved) and Roszival

But, I guess everyubody has their price..

Yea same, except I'm 17 haha. I got my Tyutin jersey a couple weeks ago too, just broke it out for pond hockey the other day. First public appearance will be tomorrow at the Meadowlands.

Tyutin isn't going anywhere. He's one of the few D-men worth keeping on this team.

I know, every year in school is hell. I try so hard to stick up for the Rangers but theres so many damn Devil fans shoving it down my neck. Thought I finally had bragging rights last year but nope, they blew it at the end, lost me some money and got me some brooms.

I wouldnt trade him for anything less than highway robbery.

What about prospect Tom Gilbert (top defense prospect, played for Wisconsin I believe last year, scored the Frozen Four winner), rookie Jan Hejda (a surprising success as he's starting to play 24+ minutes of solid hockey against the opposition top lines this season), and a 1st for Tyutin and a 2nd?

I wouldn't trade Tyutin for anything right now with our "depth". Trading the only real bright spot on your defense and a home grown one at that is plain dumb and counter-productive.

dont know enough about those players, but id still pass. it would have to be something like 5 first round picks or something insane for me to want to give up this kid.

hes clearly not worth that to any other team in the nhl, but right now, hes gold for us. could see him on the 2nd pair for the next 10 years.

i just hope the first pair is Staal and Sanguinetti.

I'm sure many teams would love Tytuin.....The Rangers are INFAMOUS for trading good players who are destined to be GREAT....for short term rewards

Hopefully those days are gone.

At the very least the Oilers would have to OVERPAY to get him.
