My buddy is a big Sharks fan and I typically go when they come to town with him. I can tell you from experience it is not fun going to those games.

Does anyone know the last time the Flyers beat the Sharks? I feel like it's been awhile.

Line-up should be something like:

Nieto - Thornton - Burns
Marleau - Pavelski - Wingels
Sheppard - Kearns - Havlat
Kennedy - Desjardins - Brown

Vlasic - Irwin
Stuart - Braun
Boyle - Hannan

GL tonight and hoping for an injury-free tilt
Changes have been made.

Mason vs. Niemi appear to be the starting goalies tonight.

Timonen, per Berube, an extra day of rest so he won't play tonight.

Not a problem. The streak is reaching historic levels (a graphic is included in the history section). Another way to look at it: Rick Tocchet scored twice, Roman Cechmanek was a rookie and Bill Barber was the head coach. It was that long ago that the team won in this series.

The rules as such have changed over time: once an OT loss got a team zero points, now it is one point similar to a shootout loss. If put in terms of just wins and losses, then the current streak of nine straight losses to San Jose has been surpassed just twice (Boston has a streak of 15 in the early 70s and the Rangers have a streak of 10 in the early 70s).

Oddly, the last time the Flyers didn't lose to San Jose was a 0-0 tie.

That's not Flyers hockey though. If a guy plays well against the Flyers, it's for life. Also all plays on long goalless droughts (tough guys or otherwise) and former Flyers will score.

Striet

They looked OK together but they were going against the 29th ranked offense who were shutout for the 5 time in the past six games or something ridiculous. Also they didn't get a whole lot of ice time. Streit had just under 17 and half and Mez was limited to 14:45 for the game. Streit and Mez were kept together for pp but neither pk'd (1:46 of pp time each).

Coburn and Grossmann had the most work (22:45 and 21:54 respectively), with Gus and Schenn closely behind them (21:26 and 20:57 respectively). They even kept these pairing for pk duties too. Gus and Coburn lead the way at ES.

Best 3 game stretch of Hockey this team has played in 1 1/2 seasons, nothing motivates a man more than the opportunity to don that underdog cape once again.

I have a good feeling about this game because so many people are chanting the SJ record against the Flyers over the last few seasons, whenever they say stuff like that the team seems to break the streak.

Why must this be a TCN game? 10:30 isn't enough to suffer through.

Great freaking song.

Holy crap, this game is finally starting to start. This Left Coast deal is no good.
