As it was last year, January will be our make-or-break month, IMO. In all likelihood we'll begin this January without our captain, but we will have the luxury of playing on home ice against a slew of struggling teams. If the Habs take advantage of this, we could be sitting pretty, leapfrogging the Bruins and putting space between ourselves and the 9th and 10th-place teams. Here's what the schedule looks like:
@ New Jersey
The first five look very winnable, and it will be important that they get as many points as possible during this stretch, because the following six will be very tough. Theo will have to be on top of his game, because we can't skate with St. Louis, Philly, Jersey, or Toronto this season.
Out of a possible 28 points, how many do you think the Habs will get in January? I think they'll get about 17 points.
