he has a "sore jaw"(duh), but apparently no concussion, and will sit out the penguins game to be on the safe side. should be back thursday vs the leafs.

Weber took a hit to the jaw from Anaheim left wing Travis Moen during a fight in the final minutes of last Saturday's game against the Ducks. The hit sent Weber to his knees and he was helped off the ice. Asked if Weber had shown any signs of concussion, Coach Barry Trotz said no.

Injury update: Defenseman Shea Weber will miss tonight’s game due to a jaw injury sustained in the Anaheim game Saturday night. Trotz expects Weber to be tested for a possible concussion.

“It’s just a natural thing anytime someone gets hit in the head,” Trotz said. “We’ll see where he is after that.”

With Shea's history of his one really bad concussion its good that they are being very cautious. One lucky punch with Moen's sweater over his head. Boys will be boys, they play summer hockey together in Kelowna every summer. two ex-rockets playing the game.

It'll serve as a reminder to anyone else who drops the gloves that even a guy who is down and out can land a shot...never lean over a guy with your face first.

Just the latest update on Weber and Toots:

As far as Predators injuries are concerned, coach Barry Trotz said defenseman Shea Weber (head) and forward Jordin Tootoo (hip) are both doubtful for Thursday, but could return by Saturday.

Also Poile [and Shero] named to the U.S. National Team Management Advisory Group....Congrats.
