Rosival is probably the guy they are focusing on and we should absolutely get the most we can for him. Baranka IS READY. This nonsense he isn't is pure garbage. That's the stupid excuse management uses constantly to justify not rebuilding. I watched that kid in camp. He should have been playing from day one. Sure it he probably would be inconsistent his first couple years. So was Tyutin. That's what you go through when you rebuild. It's called growing pains. Dawes is ready. Callahan is ready. So is Immonen.
The Rangers defintion of ready for a forward is coming up, being solid every game, playing good defense and scoring 25 to 30 goals. Puhlease. Come back to reality. On defense they expect prospects to never make mistakes while the vets can screw up all they want. Pathetic.

Baranka ins't near ready...Girardi was a better choice to bring up and he looks totally out of place..Baranka can't even be consistent in the AHL and he's ready for the NHL? Let the kid learn and develop more---he needs it...
Callahan is ready, I agree...Dawes maybe, but has play in Hartford shows otherwise..As for IMMO, IMO, not enough speed, enrgy and physicality for the NHL..You don't play kids just because they are kids..You play them when they are ready to consistenlty help....Call up Callahan...
I wouldn't trade Tyutin for anything right now with our "depth". Trading the only real bright spot on your defense and a home grown one at that is plain dumb and counter-productive.
only way id deal Tyutin to Edmonton is if we got Ryan Smyth in return. Smyth would help our PP and he crashes the net.
solidifies NYR's second line (Lupul) and Grit (Torres) and recennt (Avery) aquisition. Need a solid Defensive signing or 2 next year, and bring on Staal.
Although NYR will have to add some type of pick or player like Hollweg
If the Oilers are actually scouting the Rangers, Rozsival is likely the guy they're looking at (and I pray they don't try to trade for him, I'm not a fan to put it lightly). Like I said on the Oilers board, I can't see why the Rangers would even consider moving Tyutin at this point in time.
Why WOULDN'T you want Rozsival? He's proved, basically, that Malik was the reason for most of his struggles. I've bashed the guy, but it's clear that Malik is what's wrong with the team. Now, I'd like to see Rozsival on the 2nd pairing since he's exposed on the top, but the guy is a great #3/4 defenseman when used in that role.

You kill Sather for trading youth for vets but you are proposing the exact same thing here.
that would be the main part of the deal, maybe something like smyth and torress or greene for tyutin immonen hall. matt greene would give us more size and toughness on d. Im just saying that Id trade Tyutin if a top line player was involved and if we were one move away from the cup.

Yep sounds like Sather.
If you trade Tyutin, you trade him for a 23 year old Smyth, not the 30 year old version.
And you can keep adding crap, it's still crap. Can't see why on Earth the Oilers would want Immonen or Hall.
Long time Ranger fan going back to the early 80's. GET USED TO IT. LOL.
i know some guys that have been fans since the 40s that would give the same advice...kids don't hold your breath, it ain't getting better anytime soon.
no more would have to be added, maybe dawes or montoya
So you're just going to add in one of our top five prospects? Come on.
People might be more receptive to your proposals if you actually put more than a little thought into that. And stop including the same players coming and going.

just because it should happen, doesn't mean it will....obviously.....
EJ Hradek of ESPN the Magazine co-hosts NHL Live on Sirius. This morning,EJ said the Rangers play will determine whether they become sellers, buyers or stand pat. Many teams are in the grey area where they have talked to some teams about adding pieces and to other teams about selling off players.Hradek is working on an article for ESPN.com concerning the trading deadline which should be posted within a 1 day or 2
