Too Many Centres...

...very soon, we are going to have 4 Top 9 centres...Pleks is our best centre & not moving to the wing, keeping Galchenyuk on the wing is a big waste, Eller is crap on the wing, and if we break up the SuperFriends DD is done...so who do we trade??...choose...

Obvious choice would be DD but if his value is negative then Plekanec since he'd have the highest value.

I would like DD to go but we all know that's not going to happen.

Would rather DD, but not a real sought after player.

If DD left it would open up many possibilities for the team. Any of the others would perform as well or better under the circumstances DD has enjoyed.

But DD's public image has become the likeable Québec underdog, who fought his way up to success. And both MB & MT have committed to him, MB with the extension and MT with the sweet icetime. Something big would have to change for him to be shipped out imo.

DD has to go. This team will never win with him playing first PP and close to first line minutes. People believe that he is the force behind Pac but I believe PAc can be a 40 to 50 goal scorer with a top centerman. If we do not play our best wingers with him he would have zero production!!!

I don't think Galchenyuk is ready for centerman duties at all. Maybe next year.

And we don't have to worry about the 4th line anymore with White or Bournival able to hold the fort there.

Like d-men, a team has never enough centres.

DD said the hate and negative comments fuel his game and make him better. Too bad he's not reading this board he would be in the race for the Art Ross.

He would be thrilled for sure by all the "fans" he has on this board.

Its time to put Galch at center, whether he's ready or not. I don't see the point of keeping him on the wing when the Habs drafted him as the future franchise center.

Its time to trade either DD, Pleks or Eller

Plekanec, he would bring back a better return that would help the Habs out in the future. DD wouldn't bring back much and Eller well he isn't there yet and might simply be a 3rd line center after all

Play Gally and DD as 1-2 next year with Eller at #3 and try to land a top 6 big winger by moving Pleks

If this is the trade value on the market:
Galchenyuk: 8
Eller: 7
Plekanec: 7
Desharnais: 3

Then, I'd trade Plekanec as the return is decent, then follow by Eller. It's best not to trade a player who is under-valued.

I voted DD because I think even though he's been producing well after his horrible season start, we'd be better with Galchenyuk - Plekanec - Eller as our 3 best centers.

But, like I said in another thread, we need a big scoring winger. I think I'd even be ready to package Eller with prospects and a 1st round pick in order to get one.

The problem is we all want Eller to play center, and we want him to play with good wingers in order for him to actually play to his full offensive potential. In itself, that's not a problem. But Desharnais without Pacioretty is kinda pointless, and we want the same thing for Plekanec what we want for Eller (play with offensive players instead of 3-4th line players, which he almost always did).

There are many problems offensively with our team

If we trade Eller we will get something like a young winger back who hasnt put it all together yet.

If we trade pleks we can get a really established winger that will help the Habs greatly.

Trading pleks is the hardest one to digest but it may be better for the future. We will suffer a big loss if he leaves however.

Wouldn't mind trading Eller for a scoring winger.

Trade Eller, Galchenyuk. If you have a good offer for Plekanec, go for it! We're fine with DD and Briere as a 1-2 franco punch!

Eller.

DD is better than Eller, and Eller has more value on the market so it's a pretty easy choice.
