Or how about Avery getting his stick slashed in half off the faceoff 10 seconds before the cullen penalty.

I have an odd feeling we might see Weekes in this game.

Yep they just stood still and let the Wings, who give them credit, exploited the stupidity of the Rangers at that moment.

2 thoughts as i write my first period writeup for my blog.

1)Avery looks GREAT out there. noticeable, active, agressive, but under control.

2)Holy mother of god. Did anyone see the extra gear Jed showed us on that rush? that might be the fastest ive seen anyone skate in a Rangers jersey since Rico Fata.

1-1 end of the first, NY has to stop the dumb clearing attempts. Jagr looks like his leg hurts, so Renney triple shifts him.

Between last night and tonight, I must say Lundqvist looks a bit off and (GASP) may need a rest... Is it time that (DOUBLE GASP) Weekes plays???

So, was it entirely Lundqvist's fault that the goal happened, or was it an "ordinary" (for Rangers, it is ordinary) pinball goal where it was unluck?

Hank doesnt look comfortable to me. dont know whats bothering him either.

Avery slowly got into the game, but had a very good shift on the goal. Hes pretty quick and doesnt have stone hands. He can play thats for sure.

According to the crap they called in the first, the refs missed about 7 penalties, 2 on the Rangers and 5 on the Devils.

No goalie would have stopped it. It was in the slot and caught lundqvist off gaurd because it went off straka stick top shelf. Unlucky is the word.

It made it a tougher save but I think he should have saved it, the deflection was far enough out for him to make an adjustment, but still not an easy save

Please explain how. It deflected off a players stick top shelf? HOW was he suppose to react to stop that?

He's given up his very fair share of softies this season but that was not his fault at all.

Sorry guys, i disagree. Henrik HAD to have that one. It was deflected at the point of the shot, not halfway through. its like someone shanking a shot and having it go in. Bad goal.

That was a very tough save, I definitely don't blame Lundqvist for not getting it.

no it wasnt! it was deflected at the point of the shot. thats the EASIEST deflection save you can make in the game. its the same exact thing as if the player shot it, and didnt get all of it. That was just a real real real soft goal by Henrik.

Lets deal with it, and move on.

Im sorry, but you've obviously never played goalie. Even at getting deflected that quick it changes everything.

It's time that everyone here come to the realization that Henke is not a demi god..he needs to make a save there. The deflection came damn near at the blueline. It almost hit him in the face. He needs to stop that puck. He looks uncomfortable and he should be punished for his performance last night just like every other player. Accountability is needed badly on this team.
