The tripping call on White was horrible, and Jagr did get away with a tremendous gut-hook on the backcheck.

Just more examples of the terribly inconsistent officiating from the NHL. It's disappointing.

You know what, if he's here for a year and has a nice contract extension. I can see him being a C candidate if he can get the team fired up.

There has been rumors that he rubs his teammates the wrong way sometimes. I don't know if that's true.

But a guy that says he loves NY and can't wait to play for us before he got here shows Ranger Blue material.

One thing is for sure, Avery is not afraid to shoot the puck. That is exactly what we need.

Hey! Whining on him is my house!

I think the Devils players already hate Avery. Good.

I'm loving Avery so much. He ALWAYS gives a little extra shot right as the whistle goes, then he just stands there and takes a little beating to try and draw a penalty. Smart gritty hard working and offensive =D

Loving Avery so far. LOVING him.

I need an Ortmeyer and an Avery jersey.

1. Trade whatever is necessary to acquire a puck moving, power play QB defenseman.

2. Claim Samsonov.

3. Roll these four lines:
Avery - Straka - Jagr
Samsonov - Nylander - Shanny
Hossa - Cullen - Prucha
Ortmeyer - Betts/Krog - Hall/Hollweg

This team is not yet out of it. They only need a few pieces and assuming that Henrik and Jagr get the rest they need, this team can make a run into the playoffs and do something.
